I was also looking for a decent single coil rda. For me, it was for ni200 builds. I picked up a mutation Xs V4. It does really well with the side air holes closed and using just the bottom airflow. It is a leaky ....... though.

Other than that, I've had good luck with the Magma, just never liked the airflow (lack thereof). The Plume Veil is nice for single coils, as well. I rarely get leaking out of it if you wick it right.

Can anyone recommend a good single coil dripper? I'm not into sub ohming and would like something that has a deep well. I have the Paradigh Magnum but it sometimes leak. Thanks!

Listed in order of preference.

1 Veritas (extremely leak resistant) Can lay on side and will not leak unless you put way too much juice.
2 Marquis (leak resistant but not as much as the Veritas)
3 Origen (any version they are all good) my preferred mouth to lung atty but will leak if sideways with airhole aimed down

These are atties aimed for maximum flavor

For what you describe I have good luck with Tugboat v2, derringer, and titanium Achilles clones. On the first two I tape the extra air intakes to tighten the draw and reduce the leaking potential. The Achilles is specifically designed to hold a lot of liquid without leaking. My favorite overall is the tugboat mostly for the flavor and vape quality.

There should be more rda's that are optimized for single coils and tighter draw. Cloud chasers seem to get most of the attention because they probably buy so much hardware.

Veritas...end of story. Deep well, leak proof, great flavor, and a ton of different build possibilities. And you can fill it without removing the top cap.

veritas does have good flavor, and this is due to the reduced chamber.
You get a similar effect with the Derringer because of how
short it is.

You can fill ANY dripper without removing the top cap if your drip tip isn't horribly narrow.

I would still give the nod to the derringer because it is easier to build on and more versatile, not that I find anything horribly wrong with the veritas.

I have a Plume Veil clone, currently in single coil mode. I only have one side airflow open and can even "drip" straight onto the coil through the airflow slot; but with the other half of the chamber empty, it's still too airy for me. And it only leaks when there's juice in it.

I'm eagerly awaiting an opportunity to get the Achilles, that looks like a dream come true!

I think its really meant for a dual coil setup, but I just got a mutation x v4. I am new to rebuilding and finally built my first truly good coil setup on it, 24g kanthal 6 wrap with 1.5mm ID. Reading at .4 ohms I believe. Wicked it up and its vaping amazing, currently experimenting with the different bottom and side airflow options to decide what I like best. But my point is that its working great with just a single coil.
