If you're really looking at something to hold you over if things go south, you might want to look in the battery modders forum and check out the nicostick and puck. Both of them are very easy to make with minimum skills, are very cheap, and easy to repair if you do break it. They aren't stainless steel but they are definitely tough easily maintained mods.

+1 for Altsmoke, all of their mods fit the bill perfectly, the BB, SB, and also the new Omega, though technically the BB isn't 'recommended' for 6v

AltSmokes doesn't recommend a 6V arrangement for any of their mods, but the BB, as you noted, is the only one that's problematic. They told me via email that "The BB would fit 2x CR2 (protected), [but] I dont like the idea of stacking CR2's." His misgivings about stacking CR2s were verified in even stronger terms by electrical gurus on this forum, and I abandoned that idea.

As for the SB & Omega, they had this to say: "The RCR123A's fit into the Silver Bullet [and hence the Omega, which uses the same single 18650]...we actually extended the tubes so they would fit. But we still don't recommend using stacked batteries as well as if you do it's use at your own risk...[but] as they say: 'do as I say not as I do', I use the RCR123A Lifep04's on the Omega myself ^.^"

You said:

1. All metal, something that will look good for a long time with just a lil polishing and cleaning, no paint to worry about peeling/wearing out.

2. 510 connection, Simply because this is what I have stocked up on.

3. Something fairly simple, If it fails, parts can be obtained fairly easily.

4. I think I want 3.7-5 (I really don't like my vapor too warm reminds me of trying to breath in humid 110 heat.)

5. 150 dollars is about the max I want to go. So i guess the GG's are out.

I my humble opinion, I would suggest the revised version of Screwdriver Mk1 in 510 and "silver" format:

The ScrewDriver Online Electronic Cigarette Shop

1. All metal and wears well - here is the 901 version Mk1 in bought in April 2009 and still in daily use - has never failed me:

2. 510

3. Simple and all parts available

4. 3.7v (runs at 4v+ in reality)

5. Price within budget

The only other devices that meet what you ask for that I have personal experience of are the Super T products - but they outside budget...
