We'll i've been vaping for about 2 years now, my first e-cigg was a weird little one that looked just like a real cigg and even glowed red when you sucked on it .. it was a crappy device, battery died in like 20 minutes.

Anyway i then started reading on here and figured i'd give the Screw driver a try, that e-cigg was much better, the battery lasted much longer, but i got sick of the small cartridge pretty fast. After that i tried a Joyetech ego, which was pretty nice but the cartridges still displeased me, but direct dripping was great.

Next i decided to get a joyetech Mega ego. WOW, this thing was great to begin with, nice big batteries, giant atmoizer and a big cartridge to hold lots of fluid. But lately i've had alot of trouble with it.

Ive been ordering all my stuff from litecigusa - and id say i've gotten about 15 bad atomizers from them for this mega ego. But i don't blame litecigusa for this, ive always gotten my orders quickly and promptly without any problems, service has been outstanding. But considering i have to wait 3 days if i want to vape at all if i get an atomizer thats doesnt work right i've been getting kind of sick of it.

I consider myself moderately knowledgeable with e-ciggs now, ive researched how to clean them, how to properly re-fill cartridges, when to replace them with new filling, ive experimented with different liquid brands, flavors and VG/PG mixes

I dont know what the deal is, i have 4 different batteries, 2 i use the most, the other 2 are spares i never use but have kept charged. Some times the atomizers i get barely glow at all, and produce no vapor, some times they glow real hot and taste terrible and burnt (ive removed nylon from them, blown them out before using them.. tried many things, even cleaning them in various ways.. made sure not to flood them and make sure they dont get too dry, used new cartridges with them, different fluids and no dice) so i know they are bad and they were bad from the get go..

My worst experience ever was trying to order atomizers in bulk I ordered 3 LR mega attys, all 3 were bad. So i vowed never to go LR again and have only been using regular voltage ones which are hit and miss, when ever i bought one that was colored, like a pink or black one, they almost never work correctly for me, they even seem clogged like i cant inhale from them, cant get any air thru them, so i try to always order stainless ones.

We'll im sick of wasting money on crappy atomizers for this mega ego, its 2011 now, does anyone know of an alternative e-cigg thats superior in quality along with the parts for it like attys, cartridges, batteries? If anyone has any suggestions I would def consider looking into them.

Thanks for reading and for any and all suggestions

I don't think you necessarily need a new e-cig per se, i.e., a different battery. It seems that you need a better atomizer/juice delivery system. Cartridges are quite ineffective in delivering e-liquid to the atty ... and dripping takes frequent effort. [I did it for the better part of my first two years of vaping ... until I discovered the following.]

Have you tried cartomizers? They are so much better than they were when you or I started vaping. And the LR cartos provide a very fulfilling vape on the 3.2V eGo batteries. In order of increasing vapor/TH intensity, my (and many vapers') favorites are the Smok Tech Mega Dual Coil, Boge 2.0 ohm, and Smok Tech 1.7 ohm Mega Single Coil ("Resurrector"). LiteCigUSA carries (at good prices) the dual coils and Boge 2.0. Crystal Clear Vaping carries all three and also has well-priced 15-carto/two-drip tip bundles of each.

If you like, you can also upgrade your battery to 3.7V or even variable voltage. Riva-510 and KGO batteries are 3.7V ... and can be charged using your current eGo fast charger, although the full two-battery with charger kits are inexpensive.
  • You can pick up a 750 mAh Riva kit from Liberty-Flights for only $30 (the "Lite Bundle," although there is nothing "lite" about it). For six bucks more, you can get the "Carto Deluxe (DUAL COIL)" kit, which includes five of those dual coils I was touting. [NOTE: To see those prices, click on the "20% Discount" icon in the upper left of the screen first.] Vapor Junction sells the 1100 mAh Riva battery for $20.

  • And then there are mods. One of the least expensive (good quality) 3.7V mods is the e-Power: 14650 (1050 mAh) and 18650 (2200 mAh) versions. Both versions are carried by Liberty-Flights, BreezEsmokes, and Hoosier E-cig Supply. Jazz Carto-Pipe carries the 14650 and 18650 NoEgo's: basically the same, but sold without batts and charger.
  • A relatively inexpensive way for an eGo user to go variable voltage is with the $60 Ego Booster, which I recently reviewed.
Enjoyed the adventure!

Wow thanks for the reply guys, but what exactly is a cartomizer? or clearomizer for that matter

I dont know what an eGo XL is either, i've never seen one

If i ordered a 750mah 510 slb riva battery, is that one 3.7 volts then? And i would use a dual coil carto?

Do i get LR dual coil carts or regular ones?

Do you guys ever use any of those tank mods? like the VV army one offered on here? or a Reo? I was thinking about trying the VV army one but would like to see some in-depth videos about it first
