hi all. I'm looking for an upgrade on my rta. Been using the lemo and a kayfun. My kayfun can't handle hi vg and the lemo has been giving me issues lately with dry hits even after I replaced o rings. Think it's just worn down from use as I have built on it successfully for over a year. Been trouble shooting and really tired of having to amp my mod all the way down just to get a good hit or unscrew it a bit to improve airflow.

I want something that can handle hi vg so I have more options of what to vape. Single coil is a plus but can be dual. But I need something I don't have to worry about leaking if it's in my pocket and easy fill from any bottle or dropper is a must. Don't want to carry around a needle filler or a screwdriver. Any suggestions?

I'll say my two I use the most are Merlin RTA and serpent mini, both single coils. Great flavor from both, but Merlin has juice flow control so you can turn it off so there is no worries on leaks. The serpent mini has only leaked once on me and that's because I cut the tails of the wick too short. Both handled 80+vg no problem. Top fill on both, just turn the top and fill.
They also have a new serpent mini 25mm that has both single and dual coil options. Good luck.

I'll second the Serpent Mini. I've had it only for a few months now, but it jumped right up to the top of my 'like like' list..

I'd agree with @sketch804 that proper wicking is essential for 'leakness issues', but I guess that'd be the case with any or at least most RTA's. I have another dual coil RTA (my Serpent is the single coil only model) but I lost the build deck so I don't use it. Well I didn't lose it, I just don't know where it is..

I honestly didn't know they made the v5. I've liked them for a while but they just weren't good with high vg. Plus the v4 there were too many times that I needed an Allen wrench to open it which sucked when I wasn't home. Had a good clone. The hcigar but I'm looking for something a little more versatile unless they really changed this one.

They have changed the V5 almost completely compared to the V4. And it's hard to go wrong with a $27 Kayfun clone! Really easy deck to build on. Very simple to wick. I have a single Clapton coil in mine right now .62Ω. Wonderful flavor and decent clouds.

Just got the serpent mini 25mm. Works great on 80VG/20PG liquid. Flavor is great. Only thing I don't like about it is the stock tip is a lil short but no biggie, I just put my other 510 tips on it. Rocking single coil clapton at .4 ohms and it wicks like a champ, no dry hits so far. No leaking too. This is NOT a cloud RTA, it's a flavor chaser. Clouds are decent though. My cloud chasing days are over. Its all about the flavor. Cloud chasing and looking like a dragon in public is silly to me LOL.

From what I've read, the 25mm version is better for high VG compared to the 22mm but I can not confirm since I don't have the 22mm version.

I have a SXK Kayfun 5 mini from FT coming soon, be here in about a week. From the reviews, it works just like the regular version but it's a lil shorter.

I may look into that one then. How does it do with the high vg? Been smoking a lot of it lately because I really use my avocado and limitless a lot when I'm not out and about and it's just easier than having two stashes of juice
I've been running 80vg in mine since I got it. It has plenty of juice holes and it has JFC so if you get a dry hit then open the JFC. But I've never gotten a dry hit and I chain vape [emoji1]

And it's got really big fill holes on top

Yeah I don't mind that. Usually like a tight draw. Just bought a clone but the sxk. Did a little research and got slightly better reviews. But can't wait. Was sorry when I retired the v4. Had good flavor but just over engineered. That with the Merlin can't wait. Have some new toys to play with.
Where did you find the SXK?
