If I remove the coil fromNo, you only do that with RTAs where you build your own coils. In a prefab coil tank, like the ones you're talking about, you just replace the whole assembly, which contains both coil and wick. Some of them can be rewicked so the coil itself can be reused, but I don't know anything about that. And yes, you can wash the tank parts. A kitchen strainer can be handy so you don't lose any down the drain. The only thing you don't want to do is get the coil wick wet with water. This can prevent it from wicking juice. The rest of the tank, no problem. Just dry it before reassembly and you're good to go.
