When I first began vaping, as many others, I tried the cheap-o convenience store brand. It was very difficult, but I managed. And afterward I moved onto V2.. not a BAD company, though their prefilled cartos can get a bit pricey if you vape as much as I do and I was not fond of filling their blanks. At which point, I moved onto the Inferno from Volcano.. very good device and I recommend it to most, though I just recently purchased a Provari..

Down to the question at hand... the ONE flavor I have always enjoyed was the Sahara flavor from V2. They claim its simply a turkish blend, but it had some strangely sweet and rich undertones that I loved.. Volcano really doesn't offer much in the form of various tobacco flavors but now that I'm with the Provari, I noticed they had a few of their own that could be similar , such as the Cam Tobacco flavor..

I'm just wondering if anyone here has by chance tried Sahara from V2.. and if so, have you found any similar alternatives?? I attempted using my Sahara eliquid with my Volcano with no luck whatsoever. The V2 is a PG only liquid it would seem.. and my Inferno liquids were listed as PG with Glycerine as well.. Provapes liquids are listed in the same way.. does this mean they are a 50/50 mix of PG and VG?? Or simply PG?? So basically, does anyone know of something that would work in my new Provari that is safe for it and my 3ohm cartos which tastes the same, or quite similar to the V2 Sahara liquid... and also... when the ingredients list both PG AND glycerine, does this mean its a 50/50 liquid???

I don't understand why the Sahara from v2 wouldn't work with another device. How did it not work, specifically?

If a particular liquid says PG and VG, it could really be in any ratio. The only way I can imagine a particular juice not working in a particular setup would maybe be a high VG% juice in a cartomizer, because VG is pretty thick and might not wick through the carto filler. 100% PG, OTOH, might be a little thin for some delivery devices (?).

I dunno, I have a provari, and I've used various ratios of PG/VG with success.

See that's what I'm thinking... Because when I tried using the V2 liquid in my Inferno tubetank, it is literally as though the liquid is far too thin. It literally gurgles (sp?) up into the drip tip and even occasionally leaks down onto the connection (something I would really like to avoid as much as possible with my Provari) ... And the V2 Sahara is labeled simply "Propylene Glycol" where as the liquids that never gave me any trouble with the Inferno (from Volcano ecigs) are labeled as "Propylene Glycol Glycerine" ... so perhaps that little extra was needed to keep it from seeping in TOO much??

I was told to look into the Dekang Desert Ship on another forum.. and it has the options for 100% PG, 100% VG or a 50/50 mix... I'm assuming that 50/50 mix is what my liquid from Volcano is seeing as it has a bit of all three names on the bottle. And the liquids from Provape say the same thing.. they list PG as well as just glycerine..

Sounds to me that this isn't a juice problem.... more of a carto/tank problem. Try switching it up. Also, if you filled your own carto and are gettting juice bubbling back up into your drip tip it may need blown out. I had a friend with the same problem I blew the carto out from the top and let the excess juice drop out of the bottom of the carto.... no problems since.

Thank you for all the quick responses.. allow me to address each one if possible..

Darth: I've got no clue on the tank maker for my Inferno from Volcano... its just the tanks they sell on their site. When I ordered my Provari, their site was offering the DCT set up with the 510 3ohm DCT cartos. I've heard there are much better out there, but I ordered everything for my Provari off the site -FOR NOW- just to make sure I didn't make any huge mistakes.. Do you have any better recommendations on tank makers with the 510 thread?? I read on the actual Provape site that the z-atty pro was a lot of people's favorite but its been out of stock or discontinues possibly??

Caridwen: The battery shouldn't make any difference at all.. the reason I mention the brands is because with my Inferno, I bought the tanks and cartos for them from Volcano, and I don't know if they're made in house or they just buy another brand and slap their label on them... I assumed companies like Eversmoke, V2, SBS, etc.. all put some kind of twist to their liquids, though I read that many of them start off with one of 4 major companies, Dekang being the most popular.

Thrasher: This has crossed my mind as well.. And the the congress from V2 is a great flavor as well. I've attempted using it AND the Sahara in my tubetanks from Volcano, with the result on both. Different tanks, and different cartos.. both still leaked excessively into my mouth, out of the threading, and would have the gurgling sound as though the liquid was just sitting there bubbling up somewhere the heating element couldn't get to it, but suction could.

Kable: Do you happen to know what I was asking about in regards to the liquids from like Provape and Volcano, where they list Propylene Glycol Glycerine rather than just PG or VG... with all three of the words, does that mean its a mixed combination as opposed to the liquids labeled just "Propylene Glycol" or PG ONLY.. ?

OBE1: LOL! Believe it or not, this is something I've done over and over again with the multiple cartos I've tried the V2 juice in.. It'll launch e-liquid out of it like a spud gun when I do it.. I'll push it back into the tank a bit better, pop the drip top onto it.. and about 30-45 minutes later, it's right back to needing it cleared..

How many prepunched holes are in your cartomizer? If it's more than 1 take a tooth pick and stick it in one of the holes and then snap it off. Then blow it out and try again. The little bit of liquid on the post on your provari won't hurt it. I think your liquid may be very thin and u need less holes in your carto. I have been using the exact same setup you have for a long long time.

I would guess that means it is a blend, but it's hard to know the ratio if they don't tell you. The flooding could be explained by a higher pg content, because pg is thinner than vg. Hence why adding vg could help. The cartos in your tank, do they have more than one hole punched in them? With smaller or fewer holes, the cartos will absorb less juice, and flooding is less likely to occur. Also, drawing hard when you're vaping can pull more juice into the cart from the tank.

Eta: looks like Dana was faster ;)

I believe the problem is in the juice as the two of you mentioned. My inferno tanks use a one hole 1.5ohm carto.. So too many holes doesn't seem it could be the problem. Though I had someone confirm in another forum that the juice from Volcano is a mix of pg and vg where as there is nothing at all about vg on the Sahara liquid I was attempting to use with it.

They also mentioned Provapes does not use their own liquid either, so if one of the three I'm going to try when my Provari arrives aren't what I'm looking for then I'll get in touch and find out the ratio if there is one of the juice they market on their site and start looking around for juice distributors that offer various Turkish blends in the right form or ratio that would work the best.

I keep getting told Dekang and EC ?? are good to look for so I'll probably give those a look. Surely I'll find either the equivalent of what I'm looking for OR something close enough for an all day vape. I appreciate all of the help everyone and looking forward to being a member of the community here
