Looking for a recommendation

so Ive decided to make a motivated effort to quit smoking. Ive gone down from a 20 pack a day to only 7-10 now but I cant seem to get any lower than that, even with the help of things like patches, gum etc

Im now looking in the direction of ecigs to eventually get my 7 down to 0, so right now Im looking for recommendations on starter kits

im looking for an ecig that:
1) is the size of a regular cig (kings, not the 100s)
2) looks like a regular cig (i.e. white, shaped like a cig)
3) not manual
4) one that I can charge on the go
5) orange LED
6) im not sure the difference between dripping and those replaceable cartridges, but I assume the cartridge would be better for me as I fly alot and liquids on planes is a no no these days

so can anyone recommend a nice kit for me (that I can get in canada) with those things in mind? obviously the longer the battery lasts the better etc, and price isnt really an issue as long as its not absurdly expensive

Just some FYI--automatic batteries will not be like smoking a cigarette. You have to draw on it much harder. My husband got a white 510 kit with a red led just because he wanted to keep the look of a cig but he got both an automatic and manual battery, just to see what he would like best. He quickly realized he loathed the auto batteries and ordered himself another manual. (he likened it to sucking a milkshake through a coffee stirrer.) Also, the battery life for any cig-sized unit is not going to be wonderful. I get about 2 hours out of mine, if I am not using it every minute. If I am using it constantly, I get about 45 minutes to an hour.

Switching to a PV is wonderful, but it does come with some compromises that you must be willing to make. No matter what your PV looks like, it will never be exactly like smoking a cigarette. It's just been my experience that the e-cigs that "look like a real cigarette" are crap.

I agree about the auto battery. Manuals are much easier to deal with and it doesn't really take that long to get used to them. Plus, manual batteries are usually sealed meaning that if your cartridge leaks it won't seep into the battery and ruin it.

You could go with a KR808D-1, but they aren't the size of a king size cigarette, and I'm not sure if they come in white. These come with your choice of a cartridge that you use with an atomizer, or a cartomizer which is a cartridge/atomizer in one piece.

You can get a "shorty" KR808 pretty close to the length of a cig, but batteries are necessarily heavier. The battery life is also short. The bigger the battery the longer the battery life, more or less. A KR808 xl is quite a bit longer than a cig, shares the basic shape of a cig, but the battery lasts longer. What about a short battery for when others can see you and a larger battery for when you are alone? They do come in white, Vapor for Life, and GoodProphets usually carry them I believe.

I was looking at the vapor king shorty which I believe is an 808?

how long does the battery of the manual last compared to the auto? and is the charge really that much less than a regular sized battery?

and when I buy the starter kit what else should I be buying along with it? should I be buying extra carts and eliquid? and how much?

and finally what strength of eliquid should I be looking at? im currently on 7 "light" regular cigs a day

If I were looking for a cig-like model... I'd opt for a SmokeStik. High quality. Easy use. and you have a great support group here in ECF.

I agree, I think a 4081 (SS model) is a better choice than a KR808 (V4L). Just my two cents... Then again, i may be the harshest critic of the KR808 on this forum...

To purchase a V4L instead of a SS would be silliness, in my view.

Hi welcome to the forum.

*People say the auto battery CAN last less than the manual because wind and noise can cause them to fire so if you go someplace noisy (like a bar) or windy (motorcycle?) the battery will run itself out before you even get to use it.

*The little batteries (like a 510) last from 1/2 an hour to 2 hours depending on how much you use it. The KR808D-1 is supposed to last about 4 hours. The big batteries (650mah or more- like an eGo) can last 8-12 hours depending on how you use it (mine lasts 8-10 hours and I'm home all day using it).

didn't realize you were Canada. Their cartos are refillable. It almost might be worth it to purchase the SmokeStik w/ Zero Nic cartos. If you talk to LoriKay, they may have some attomizers and cartriges left although not on their website. Then purchase your juice from whereever you have to. Their cartos are really great too. They don't burn ever and are easily refillable and long lasting.

Their batteris are 4081 compatible so other 4081 parts will fit... but the battery is not the same as others. Same threads but much higher quality.
