Now I realize that this is probably a common thread title but I'm so sick of getting a mod and having it crap out on me the next day. I guess my problem is because I'm buying cheap box mods, i.e. madvapes vv box, and I just got the big kazoo in the mail yesterday and it stopped working today. Yes I will most likely take advantage of the 30 day warranty on the kazoo but I'd prefer not to do that with the mods I get.

So I guess what I'm looking for is a reliable 5v OR vv mod preferably under $100. Not really looking to get another box. Just something I won't have to worry about crapping out on me the next time I have to work an 11 hour shift. Thanks.

If your looking for reliability and durability stick with metal. I like the cheap plastic boxes but they are what they are, cheap plastic. I use them with care they've treated me good but for on the go or when I know I might be handled a little rougher I go with something else.

If you want to stick with a box check out the Rio, probably the toughest box mod made but it doesn't come in VV. There are several wooden VV mods available that are much more durable than plastic but all of these will put you well over budget.

For a vv tube check out the classifieds, might be able to swing a used Buzz etc under budget. New the infinity is also available. For a fixed volt tube the Maxi Roughstack is a good choice and won't break the bank, you have several other options at fixed volt tube also.

What about the Maxi Rough Stack from Madvapes? From everthing I've heard/read/watched it's durable has heck.

It's not 5v but it's pretty flexible voltage wise :
"You can use an 18650 for 3.7 volt vaping, 2 16340 3 volt batteries for 6 volt vaping or two 3.7 volt 18350's for 7.4 volt vaping.. "

This is what I've been considering mostly because everyone says they are so tough (and easy to repair if the switch goes bad). And honestly, $45 is pretty damn nice. Heck the whole kit with batteries and charger is only $75.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I decide to pre-order the buzz pro. hahahh. Went a bit over my budget but with all the positive feedback on the buzz, I figured the buzz pro could only be an improvement. DEFINITELY going to think about a GLV2 for my next mod though. I've learned my lesson, cheap plastic mods stay at home, study metal mods get to come to work with me haha. Thanks again for the help!
