Hi All,

Been vaping for a few months and now looking for simple, low cost atomizer?

I am a simple vaper. I use and am perfectly happy with my 510 Ego C-Twist battery and my 510 Kanger bottom (replaceable) coil clearomizers.

However, I would like something that I can use for tasting juices without having to clean out one of my clearomizers and dry burning just to try another juice. This is too much work just to try out juices. I am looking for something that will work with my Ego C-Twist.
Also hoping that it simple, requires very little maintenance and possibly rebuildable?

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't get much simpler than an IGO RDA , you'll have to learn how to rebuild , but it will do the job for you , wick with cotton balls and you're good to go .

I'm thinking about just dripping full time. They have very nice RDA clones out now that are very reasonably priced. I have the Trident V2 RDA which has excellent flavor and vapor using micro coils with organic cotton. Waiting on vape mail for a Stillare RDA V2. Watch some YouTube vids on how to build them. Really not very hard. Along with the RDA clones are the Mechanical Mod Clones. Again, watch YouTube vids. Good luck

Low cost mod: Magneto clone by Smoktech

    AGI atty

The AGI gives the versatility of both a tank adapter and simple atty combo. Only good for single coil setups tho. Dual doesn't fair too well. Only modifying needed is drilling the air hole to 1/64 and you're golden. If you can wait a couple weeks for shipping, order from Fasttech.com cheapest prices around. Read product reviews before buying.

okay then... apparently most people on ecf associate tasting different flavors on an ego twist with cloud-chasing rba's...

anyhow, if you just want to try different flavors without having to fiddle, one of the best dripping atty's is the hh.357. little pricey, but it's good.

if you want something a little cheaper, the smoktech 510 atomizer isn't bad either.

    Hi grubsie

Agree the cleaning isn't the most enjoyfull part of vaping.
However a good clean does improve the flavor or at least prevents the mixing of flavors whilst vaping.
A good dripping RBA like an igo, so no tank just drip the liquid straight from the bottle on the wick, already makes cleaning a lot easier.
Just take the cap of and flush. Quick wipe and burn without liquid to get rid of the water. You can buy the ready made coils, wick and wire, if you don't want to start fiddling to much.

Alternatively you could buy the real cheap C5 disposables and just toss them once you are done with them. Both can be had for relatively little money on sites like fasttech and a dozen other sites.

The first auto cleaning and rebuilding atty still has to be developed:)

Hmmmm it hasn't occured to you that an RDA can be built at whatever resistance you desire and use on a spinner or twist ? Best part is it'll last a lot longer than a throw away 510 or a 357 . I'm not a cloud chaser , I'm a flavor chaser that doesn't like throwing money in the garbage can when it ain't necessary .

it did, but it also occurred to me that it appears that grubsie is a relatively new vaper, and that recommending an rda for a twist (or at all) without the slightest mention of safety precautions, resistance checkers, etc. is highly irresponsible...

If you read his original post he said he would consider rebuilding and I did tell him he would need to learn how , I'm sorry if I didn't recite Baditudes blog on battery safety but I didn't realise that I'm required to spoon feed that to everyone that ask's a question ! You made an assumption about ECF members favoring cloud chasing RDA's , I favor people that do their own research , and not jump to conclusions .

okay, let's try this another way...

neither of my posts in this thread were specifically directed towards you, they were meant more as general statements. i apologize if you took any offense to either. i personally prefer to err on the side of safety, as the government obviously already thinks it has enough reasons to either heavily regulate or take away our vaping without someone having seriously injured him/herself.

i did see that you said "you'll have to learn how to rebuild." i also saw that, after your first post and prior to mine, john333 (after mentioning a trident and a stillare, which i will admit, have good flavor, but maybe aren't necessarily primarily thought of for such) said to "Watch some YouTube vids on how to build them." and, of course, he and zmbgzus both added mechanical mods to the mix, and zmbgzus recommended drilling out airholes.

in my opinion (i'll make no claim that mine is any more or less valid than yours or anyone else's), yes, the summation of these recommendations, without any real mention of proper safety, and when the original question included the statement "I am looking for something that will work with my Ego C-Twist," is irresponsible. again, my apologies if you were offended.

An easy rebuildable to start with is the Igo-L. It's a single coil dripping atomizer which is very popular and often suggested as a starting atomizer. I'd suggest the single coil instead of a dual coil to start with since the dual coil performance suffers if the coils aren't well matched to each other. This can be very discouraging when you're starting off. In addition, dual coils cut the resistance in half which may make it harder to get a build that will work well on your Ego.

Personally, I use an Igo-L with a stainless mesh build for tasting. It works very well and can be rinsed, dry burned and put to use on the next flavor.

I had this problem -- I just wanted to test my DIY stuff quickly and simply without building coils, etc., and couldn't find locally (at that time, I have since then) "bridgeless 510 atomizers" I had read about. Eventually I found this on Chinabuy: 5 Pcs GS-Bridgeless 3-Hole Colorful Electronic Cigarette Atomizer - Random Color, $10.55. For me, these work great for taste tasting. Three-to-five drops at a time; rinse and dry when done. Easy-peasey, though shipping takes some time.

(I added my own drip tip, of course, and this little eGo beauty ring so it wouldn't look so ugly.)

Before I was comfortable rebuilding I used this for tasting: http://www.vaporbeast.com/boge-510-atomizer-black.html
It'll do, that's about all I can say for it. Easy to flood, easy to get throat shredding dry hits. When it works great, it's really great, and all it needs is rinsing and blowing to clean.

If you're ready to rebuild, well, I got an IGO recently, and it's super simple and not a problem for anyone that can rebuild a clearo. I'd recommend one for someone looking for a cheap RDA. If you chose a wick material like cotton, pretty sure you can just yank it out and replace it for another flavor (I'm planning on doing this tomorrow, still on my first coil.)

I guess I never understood how people use drippers for tasting. The juices I use for dripping are 6mg nicotine. The juices I use for tanks are 18. So I can't taste my tank flavors with a dripper. I'd pass out. Is that what you guys are doing?

I used 24mg nic in a dripping atty for the first 6 months I vaped. Don't confuse the needs of an old fashioned atty with a RDA.
They don't even make the atty that I use to use anymore, but this is a good one.
