Provari is a rock solid VV mod, but I hated that it wouldn't let me use sub 1ohm coils... I like using sub 1 coils (that can be handled by my batteries btw) in order to achieve massive hits out of my Nimbus and Trident RDA's... Genny tanks (which I also love) do not need sub 1 ohm to work well, but my double wick Megatron is usually set slightly lower than a Provari would allow.

Basically, sub1 vaping led me to only want mechs (btw - I have a multimeter, I understand battery safety, and I ensure that the coils I put on a 18350/490/650 will not overload my AW IMR batts)

Wow lots of feedback and info. Thank you guys n gals you are great in answering questions. I am techy by nature and work as an engineering tech I can see this being interesting.
Another question and I'm sure there's many opinions if I was to hop into mech Mods what's the best option for a beginner but with headroom to advance?

Bom Dia Gaspar!
If you want a mech you don't have to mod due to crap construction, may I suggest the Legacy, by Puresmoker. QC/CS is 100%, and it's made in the U.S.A.
As far as bulk, this one more or less conforms to the 18650 (or 350) quite well, eliminating the over-circumference-ing of most mech tubes.

Same state, may I ask where this B&M is?

I started vaping over four years ago and the only mod that is still with me is my mechanical mod. So reliability is number one. Second they just work the same all the time. Once you find the sweet spot resistance wise you are set. I use LR atties and drip. There is no better way that I have found to get the perfect hit each time that is full of flavor and nearly as consistent. An 18650 battery can be replaced an ego is a toss it out. An 18650 battery like a panasonic 3400 is actually 3400mah not Chinese mah's either. A good mechanical mod can be bought for very little money now too. It's not like back in the day when a good one set you back $100. I just bought my first piece of equipment in years and that was for a buddy of mine. I got him an Omega from Fast Tech. Why because it was less than $15 and I know it will work and at the most it will take a tiny tweak or two to stay working for years to come. One Good 18650 in the mod and one on the charger or charged and you are good to go. No muss no fuss.

with a mechanical mod you can vape at any wattege you feel like from 3 to 30 or even more watts . . Simpy by designing your coil to match your voltage in order to meet that wattage range.

Second they are mechanical and last for ever and can be easily repaired.

Third they are works of art and some can take many types of batterys allowing voltage from 3 volts with a cr123 to 8.4 volts on 2 fully charged 18350s when was the last time you saw a vv mod do 8 volts or more ?

You can use a kick or the kick v2 or a stomp or crown and make it vw from 5_15 watts or 3_6 volts . It can do everything a vv or vw device can and more ....
