Make that two in the world, I hate maple :nah: But I recently ordered another caramel flavor that recently popped up on PA a candy caramel, so hopefully it'll be a more true flavor.

HOORAY! A COMRADE in the fight against Maple domination!! (Bleh..)

Drop a line to let me know how the Candy Caramel tastes please!

Are you using Virginia flavored tobacco?? and Spikey's or Ikenvape's recipes??

Spikey
5% caramel Lorann
5% marshmallow Lorann
10% 11MG Vanilla Johnson Creek
5-10% 36MG TW tobacco
70-75%VG
1 drop peanut butter Lorann

10ml Ten cured 18mg
5ml Vanilla 24mg
4ml Almond
4ml Amaretto
7ml Vg

nope, I just have tasteless (that still cracks me up for some reason...gotta get out of the house more I guess) PG at 36mg as my base.

I don't think that there is a way to sweeten a mix without changing the ratios of everything in the mix. Basically some trial and error. I use LorAnns, Capellas and PA. With each of those, I need different ratios depending on which I use. There is a good deal at MadVapes for RY4 and 555 (30 ml for $8.99) that I am gonna' tinker with to get the taste I like.

That's another thing. I don't always taste or smell things the same way everyday. I get some variance between my mixes, depending on my senses that day. I always let my mixes sit for at least a day to incorporate, longer is better.

Hhhhmmm...... Yeah seems to me that we are all tasteless at some point... *LOL*

OK So you are using some sort of tobacco flavoring.. What are you using??

There has got to be a true way to make this stuff because we gotta find the right mixture.. I mean really, all these companys make it, and not all of them are getting it from China... If they are getting it from China, then how the heck did Chinese companys figure all this out?? I'm getting really annoyed at this *LOL* So far Spikeys is really close to me, and adding Virginia tobacco juice gets the right tobacco flavoring on my tastebuds...

There's gotta be a solution.. We all can't be so dang stupid.. I bet it is something so easy that if we ever find out, we will all be sitting here screaming "Duh" *LOL*

I've seen occasional mention of Sucralose before. Do we have substantiation that it isn't harmful to vape? I've also wondered about Stevia which gets occasional mention as well.

I think that if we can eat it we can also vape it... Being a diabetic for 34 years I was told many years ago to use Stevia instead of Aspartame because of the harmful effects.. There is also a company that re-named Stevia as Truvia.. Both are sweet but I'm not sure it would actually be sweet enough to make much of a differance.. When I drink my coffee I always used 2 packets or two teaspoons of Aspartame, yet when I use Stevia or Truvia I need 4 packets or 4 teaspoons to get the same amount of sweetness...

The other problem is that using Stevia or Truvia, what would you do?? Put it in you PG or VG??

As far as dieting, and not wanting so much sugar, it really doesn't make any differance because when I vape it does not make any differance in my blood sugars...

I was under that impression too until I read about artificial butter and artificial vanilla and how they are dangerous to vape. Further, that the butter substitute had made workers in popcorn packaging factories very ill.

With this in mind, I think we should be certain that the substances we inhale remain safe as a heated vapor.

That's great news that vaping doesn't raise blood sugar. I'm not diabetic but had a little concern about blood sugar and added calories from vaping sugars.

Woa.. I have been using Butter Rum flavoring since July (with the exception of using RY4 afew times a week for a flavor change) and it hasn't done anything to me yet.. I know that we can't always be sure of the quality of products but many of the companys sell Butter Rum flavored juice, so I never thought it would be a big deal... Then again I'm a risk taker *LOL*

Yeah I've been on an insulin pump for the past 3+ years and need to test my blood sugar at least 6-8 times a day and vaping hasn't done anything to my blood sugars at all.. When I first decided to investigate vaping I found a thread in here that involved the sugar content of juice to see what was being said knowing that the use of PG and/or VG might be a problem with my blood sugars...

All's good :)

I could be wrong but I don't think Butter Rum actually has any butter, real or artificial.

That's what I thought too because the sites I use to buy my flavorings (Lorann and Bickford mainly) claim they are called "oils" but they don't use oil in them..

Many companys sell the Butter Rum flavoring and I've been using it since July and my attys last months..

I bought 10 attys in July and only 2 have died so it's not like the flavoring have killed my attys... I think if someone doesn't make sure they clean or at least blow the excess out of their attys is what kills them.. I also use heavy flavoring in my DIY's, and the RootBeer is really dark, so I don't know why some people complain and claim you can't use this stuff... Or that Butter Rum that is obviously not made with oil can't be used either since it's being sold by the Vaping stores and the companys producing them say they are not oils

Because this is such a hard mix to figure out. RY4 tastes different depending on the vendor. :)

If RY4 from every vendor tastes similar but unique to that vendor and Ruyan (mysterious company with no direct line of distribution) changed their original, wildly popular and now legendary formula, does the flavor even exist?

I know nothing, have tried nothing nor have I made anything. :2c:

Maybe the recipe is so elusive because, although delicious, a certain original-recipe ingredient was dangerous and so therefore in the e-cig community, no one has thought to intentionally put something like it in DIY e-juice. Ruyan couldn't continue making it. The jig was up, so they just changed the formula and kept riding its popularity.

Along with everyone else.

To me, that is a plausible scenario.

I did also take a look at
Invert Sugar Manufacturer,Invert Sugar Suppliers,Invert Sugar Exporters

Is it possible RY4 could use something like the Black Treacle flavoring available there?

The Seedman tobacco concentrate is suppose to be the commercial Malboro flavoring. I have not found another that is close to it. And yes I have tried all the FA tobacco flavors. Dan
Dan, I have mixed up 20% of Seedman Tobacco Concentrate with 80% of VG just to see what the seedman tasted like. I find that it has NO taste. Should it be used mainly for enhancing other flavors. According to Seedman, it is used to enhance the taste of Tobacco leaves. I guess TA is necessary for the tobacco taste.

I've used Stevia. One drop per 2ml's. Sweetens my juice right up. Try a small batch first to see if you like it. I think it tastes better than sucralose. Sucralose makes me feel like I have a slight high. I use low nic so I know it isn't that.
