So im on the quest for a decent lower priced telescoping mechanical mod. I am looking (but doesn't have to be) to spend around $50 for the mod itself. I have come across these and am wondering if you have any other suggestions? I really just want something to leave on the desk, or take out to a buddys when things get rowdy and I want to leave the Provari at home.

are there any better ones for around the same price (that preferably are in stock) out there? Looking to buy one this weekend, any/all help would be great. Thanks guys

I have a Provari, 3 twists and a few others. I really just want something without a kick, unregulated, no electronics, for sitting on my desk to use with an RBA to test out new flavors. i think I'm going with the Smoktek telescope (rebuildable version) it's only $52 and i'll probably get that. what batteries work with it? I know I'll need some sort of protected battery. will any protected 18650 (that's what I want to go with) or 18350 (this as well) work?

Pretty sure im going with this one: SMOK Telescope-Rebuildable Adjustable APV - Vented, Stainless Steel

seem like a good option? like i said, it's just going to be used for the times when i want to use something to test liquids with an atty, or just go back to being simple for simplicity sake. i just need someone to let me know if that's a good option, and i'll probably pull the trigger tonight or this weekend. thanks all

actually i got a mechanical mod for testing RBA (blew my cheap ego)
and just got in the China GG from hoosiervapes today.

so far i am impressed! nice weight to it, pretty solid construction and its telescoping. i think i got it for $35ish so you cant beat the price.

my pinky is getting a workout with the bottom button though :p

I had to look it up. Lmao they actually call it a China GG too funny. Is it kickable? Might be nice in 18350 mode for stealth.

Remember guys, mechanicals are very important for everyone's arsenal. Considering worst case scenario with the fda. I have a silver bullet I'm fond of but I'm going to add one or two more. Probably an ss telescope for out and about and an electric angel for home. It has a place in my heart already because it is made in Finland where my mom is from.

I got the CCTS here. I ordered the extra tube so I could use it with an 18650 and Kick. I really like it. I barely have to push the button to fire it. Nice construction good weight, nice size with 18500mah and Kick.

I like how the vendor has the different configurations in pics. I may pick one of those up.

I've been on the same quest the last few days thecatanddog. The mods in your first and third links are pretty much the same and have reported issues with the button breaking. I've held one in my hands and it seems like a great machine otherwise. Some versions have venting only at the bottom, some with holes in the top tube and some with slots in the top tube. The fragile switch mechanism has kept me away for now.

The second and fourth links are for China GG's. I don't know how good they are.

I've also been looking at PV's like the Bolt which have a electric button, but are otherwise mechanical. All depends I think on how much comfort you have with the fully mechanical PV's and the issues they may have or the 'mechanical with wires' and their issues. Of course, once we get into the $100 PV's, seems to me most issues disappear. But I'm cheap ... so I keep looking!
