I'm seeking advice because I can't seem to find a good VV/VP tube mod with a digital display other than a Provari. I don't want a PWM mod, like ZMax, VAMO or any other China made mod, because they all seem to use the same PWM board, so its making my search even harder. I know there are some good DNA20d mods out there but they all seem to be either wood or squared edges.

Any ideas or known makers? Thanks for help

The basic problem is that the best controller circuit boards are big, therefore much easier to fit into a boxmod than a tubemod.

Power is normally related to size - just like a bigger battery works better, a circuit board that handles more power has to be bigger. The ones in tubemods are usually tiny. They can be switched from 2 or 2.5 amps to work with 3 or 3.5 amps by adjustment at the build stage, but that has a big impact on their reliability and service life. Something the size of a fingernail just isn't going to pull that sort of current reliably.
