Looking for advice on VK models...?

Hi all!

I recently made the switch from analogs (pack a day of Marlboro Reds) to Green Smoke. While I immediately fell in love with vaping (four days and I haven't even wanted to return to real cigs! amazing!), I'm not crazy about the Green Smoke experience. I'm thinking of returning my GS order and switching to VK, but before making the plunge it would be nice to get some feedback from experienced users.

My main complaint with GS is how quickly the carts and batteries lose their "oomph". The first few drags with a fresh battery and cart are what I want all the time -- a good TH/LH, decent taste (using the "tobacco Red" flavor; not really into the fruity kind), and an amount of vapor comparable to an analog. Unfortunately that only lasts about as long as it would take to smoke one or two actual cigarettes, and then I have to suck way too hard to get any kind of TH and the vapor tastes like old gym socks. Not pleasant.

Is there a VK model that really delivers a "thick" vapor you don't have to pop a blood vessel to get? From what I've read on the forums it looks like a manual model would help eliminate the need for really hard pulls, so I was thinking of getting a manual VK passthru with some Premium Cowboy carts. Most of my smoking is done while working at my computer anyway, so it seems like a cheap and easy way to experiment with something other than GS. But if anyone has thoughts about a battery model that could get me what I want, I might just do that instead.

The XL V4L battery lasts for quite a while for when your out and the passthru is great at home.Lots of choices in cartomizers also.I like the premiums best.I think you would be very happy with V4L.Check out the subforum and dont be afraid to ask questions.

If you want to stick with that type of battery, the V4L XL or another 808 XL battery will do you well. If you are looking for significantly longer battery life, you might look at the 808/901 Riva (sold as Elegant Easy at cigeasy or Defender at vapornine). The battery life is much better, the size is still fairly small (shorter than the standard V4L and other 808s, just bigger around), and the draw is really nice and smooth -- you can even remove the cone and get a really easy draw).
