Before I forget to mention, www.VaporKings.com did not rip off the Vapor King name. In fact, I believe they came first (although I am not saying that V4L ripped them off). Until recently, www.VaporKings.com didn't even carry the KR808D-1. I've ordered DSE801 parts from them. Just a confusing coincidence.

But the main reason I'm posting is to put in a strong recommendation for the penstyle, whether the M201 that has already been put forward (but I have not yet tried, so I can't comment) or a DSE801-compatible. I have heard very good things about the M201. The main factor that has held me back is that it is not compatible with other penstyles or with most hybrids (i.e., the big battery mods), such as my Prodigy.

The penstyle (at 155 mm) is considerably longer than the 510 (112 mm). That probably is perceived as too long by most first-time vapers. But I am not surprised that an experienced vaper like you is open to it. I urge you to forget the DSE901; based on everything I've read, its performance is...adequate (and you have been using a far better than adequate e-cig already, the 510).

I have been using the DSE801 for almost five months and I love it: the vapor, flavor, and throat hit are extraordinary. At 280 mAh (I believe), the puffs per battery charge are almost twice the 510 (150 mAh). It is virtually everything I've wanted in an e-cig. [BTW, most of the time I vape it with its own battery, rather than the Prodigy. I usually don't need that intense a kick.] And on the penstyle, I definitely prefer the auto battery; I do not think the manuals for the 801 (or 901) were well implemented - certainly nowhere near as well as the 510 manual, which should be viewed as the role model for all ecigs.

Other models compatible with the 801 are the RN4072 (which seems to be "OK") and the BE112 (about which I've read very good things). Also, I think the Joye302 is compatible (but don't hold me to that).

If you do get a penstyle, don't throw away your 501. I just got one ... and I'm enjoying it. For me, it's a nice change of pace. It is quite a remarkable little device. But, compared to what I'm used to, the flavor and throat hit are sorely lacking (the vapor is quite good).

If you wind up changing your mind about the KR808D-1 (cartomizers), consider other, less expensive suppliers, like NHaler and CigEasy, in addition to Vapor4Life. V4L has a wonderfully broad selection of cartomizer flavors, but I prefer those others for parts or accessories. You see, the KR808D-1 (with their own carts or with GreenCig carts) is my other e-cig. It has much to recommend it and, because of its ease of use, it is what I would recommend to a first-time user ... or to anyone who wants an e-cig almost as good (in vapor, flavor and throat hit) as a penstyle, but wants it to be the size of a mini like the DSE901.
