Looking for good tobacco flavor recommendations

I've been having a hell of a time finding a good tobacco flavor I can stick with. I've had some that tasted decent enough, but I wouldn't really call them "tobacco," regardless of what the label professes. Some are too sweet, some have inexplicable hints of things like cinnamon, vanilla, coffee, etc., while others taste like, to quote Robot Chicken, "feet wrapped in leathery, burnt bacon."

I just want something that tastes like an actual cigarette. I don't see how these liquid manufacturers can accurately make something that tastes like a damn Strawberry Cheesecake, but be so incapable of producing something that should be a no-brainer for a product that even has "cigarette" in its name-- a flavor that tastes like a cigarette!

Off the top of my head, here are some I have tried:

Liqua - American Blend
Liqua - Turkish Blend
Liqua - Cigar tobacco
Liqua - French Pipe Tobacco
FeelLife - KP-Smooth
FeelLife - Camel

The brick and mortar shops around here that let you sample are pretty weak with their offerings, and I'm tired of blowing money on new bottles online and being disappointed. :(

So, anyone have some suggestions? And maybe a description of the flavor?

Much obliged.

You may want to try Halo juice's Torque 56 or Tribeca are the two I started with. Turkish blend is another that comes to mind.
You sound like me when I started vaping. I figured when I smoked I didnt want to smoke strawberry or banana, why would I want to vape it?
As time went on I realized that vaping actually opened up a new world of flavors that I couldn't have from smoking! I no longer need or want tobacco flavors. Although I still like an occasional Ry4 hit.

Well, I'm not sure what is considered being new to it, but I've been vaping for about three and a half months now. I don't have anything against "exotic" flavors in principle, but they're just not what I'm looking for. They can be fun for a novelty, but I'm looking for a good tobacco ADV to trick the primitive recesses of my brain into thinking there's some good ol' cigarette action going on to appease the recovering chain-smoker lurking within.

I appreciate the Halo recommendations, though. I'll be sure to look into those.

I am not a fan of Liqua. I tried Bright, Turkish, Traditional and one other (?).
Although tobacco is notoriously bad to replicate, the trick is to find something smokey with a bit of kick that you enjoy.
It's never the same for everybody, but IF you should find one, bag it for good.

t.b.h. my go-tos are either 1 particular Hangsen, 2 Dekangs (these are both quite "odd" and not recommended...) or a variety of Liquids made using Inawera/Wera Garden flavours.

I am not a fan of Liqua.

After all the flavors of theirs I've tried, I think it's fair to say I'm not a fan, either. It's one of two brands the local vape shop stocks, so I was pretty limited if I wanted to try before I buy. My girlfriend likes their menthol flavor, though. It's decent, I guess, but I'm not a fan of menthol to begin with. If I want something minty, I'll suck on a mint.

I'm in the UK and get something called American Red from Smoker's Angel. It's pretty much like Marlboro Red. Which is why I like it.

I might check that out, thanks.

Hi Thursdy,

I am new to ECF, and somewhat new to the ecig world (2mths). I have/had the same problem as you. I can't find anything that is equal. I did find a taste that is listed as a tobacco flavor and has a similar savoriness like analog smokes. Sinister Liquids ( out of Raleigh, NC) has a flavor called "The Duke" that I have used as my everyday. They also have "Marino Blend" that is similar but more sweet. There standard flavors are all 60/40 VG/PG. It is kinda hard to describe the flavor, I hate to use the association but I almost detect a popcorn taste in there. Which doesn't sound appealing to me, but it works for me(lol). It's a top seller in local shops here. Also, they sell 2ml samples ($2) on the site, so you can give it a try without having to sit on big expensive bottles you will never use. Just my 2cents. If you find anything else that replicates true cigs.. let me know!

No Tobacco e juices will taste like a burning cigarette, that's why they're labeled tobbacco flavor not cigarette flavor.
Most tobbacco flavors taste more like inhaling an unlit cigarette/tobbacco product,

A few do resemble a cigarette flavor, they lose their appeal very rapidly, for most folks like within a couple mls.

Same. Although while my transition over (with the realization that i never really smoked cigs for "that taste" in the first place) seemed to come on pretty quick, that has rarely been the case for the other people i've got started vaping. Which is around 20 people at this point, who wanted/needed that "cig experience" and seemed to have the most success starting off with the following:

Devil Dog - Ahlusion: Aromatic : Devil Dog!

By far the juice i've personally seen the most "this tastes the closest to real cig" comments/feedback on. It's also the one juice that the most stubborn quitters i know seemed to gravitate to liking right off the bat.

Blue Grass Burley - Ahlusion: Aromatic : Blue Grass Burley

Like the above this is another bold, no nonsense, and in your face tobacco. Wayyyy to earthy of a taste for me (i didn't even end up vaping half the 30ml bottle i bought), but other "i don't want to vape fruit crap" people i know seem to rather enjoy it for just that reason.

Legend - Heather's Heavenly Vapes: Legend (Purity) - $6.00 : Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids

This ended up being my own personal sweet spot for something on the bold side without being too extreme or void of "enjoyable flavor". I get a nice-yet-strong cherry pipe tobacco that many comment tastes like black and mild (i never actually smoked a black and mild, so can't comment there). Definitely one of my top 5 and something i tend to take with me when i plan on going out to have some drinks at the bar.

Both these sites have a solid rep for doing NET flavors extremely well btw, and imo tend to be a step above the rest i've tried in that specific target area.

I've never tried either of the 2 I'm going to tell you about but I have been glued to this board for the last week. I have seen many people talk about Nicotickets - H1N1 and I've seen people talking about Bocas Bounty from Alien Visions.

Both these are excellent choices for great tasting juices....but essentially fall into the category of what the OP is *not* looking for here imo.

(don't get me wrong either, as i have a tank of H1N1 sitting in front of me now lol. Great stuff but nothing really "cig like" about it)

My favorite of the tobacco style juices is vermillion rivers kentucky blend no. 7

While it is more comparable to tobacco flavor than anything else, it is not pure tobacco, it has nice undertones of bourbon and has a sweetness to it.

How would you rate the sweetness? I can handle low to moderate sweetness, but not excessive.

I like the USA Blend from Mt. Baker. I have never had their mix,but their DIY,is excellent. It gives your mouth the taste,of smoking a cig. I mix mine at a 20% ratio. I do a 18 mg, 50/50. I have had their coumarin pipe tabac and that is very good. I was not impressed with their Ry-4. The 555 is decent,if you like European Cigs. Vape dudes Tabac is also great. I like their classic tabac best, but the campfire and grand pararie are good.
