Finding an eliquid that tastes like a cigarette is really, really hard (and probably impossible, really). I was in the same boat as you when I first stopped smoking, so I get it.

I'm a fan of Heather's Heavenly Vapes tobaccos.... her Heavenly Tobacco has been my ADV for a long time now (yeah, 2+ years into vaping and my ADV is still a tobacco). It's an RY4 variant (which is tobacco, caramel, and vanilla), with a fairly distinctive vanilla undertone to it that makes it a tad on the sweet side, so may not suit you.

She has a lot to choose from in tobacco, and most are tobacco extractions, so the "real" tobacco flavor comes through more than most. And her prices are very reasonable.

There is a 4-bottle (3ml each) sample pack available for $10.

If you are going to try halo, be prepared to steep.

With the exception of Tribeca (in my limited experience), they can taste pretty bad if you just crack open the bottle and plan to immediately vape.

Both Torque56 and Longhorn need two days with the cap off and higher voltages to taste right. If you have the patience, waiting a week after having the cap off for the couple days does a world of good. If you don't steep them, Longhorn will taste like cherry blossom perfume, and Torque56 will taste like maple syrup. Tribeca is a mellow tobacco flavor with a pretty solid hit of caramel and a kinda nutty flavor (I want to say hazel nut).

Let them steep, and give them a little time, and give them the volts... Torque will taste like a harsh cigarette and Longhorn will have a somewhat light cigar taste. Turkish tobacco had a bit too light of a scent for me to try blind (and halo isn't exactly budget priced).

Boyfriend's ADV is Casablanca from Backwoods Brew and they're known for having very good tobacco vapes.

I'm currently looking at Rocket Fuel myself. What I would suggest would be to go to SpinFuel's website and read through different tobaccos (one of their Reviewers, Tom, is a big tobacco e-liquid aficionado) maybe do some cross checking on the reviews here and on youtube, and then see if any of the brands are one of (I think) seven carried by eliquidsamples.com so you can spread your money out the most.

And keep an eye on the classifieds/swap threads. I myself have Adirondike by Backwoods Brew for trade, but since it's 57mL, I don't recommend it to someone who's never tried it (because it's such a large bottle.) Have you posted your own swaps? Sometimes you'll get something that surprises you in a good way.

When I made the switch to ecigs I was only interested in tobacco flavored juice. I couldn't begin to imagine why anyone would want to vape strawberry shortcake????? After 6 months or so I couldn't stand the taste of any of the tobacco flavors, after all, I'm now an exsmoker. I now understand why people wanted to vape strawberry shortcake. I just want the nicotine these days.

The tobacco juice I liked best back then was Organic Best Damn Tobacco by Virgin Vapor Organic Best Damn Tobacco E-liquid | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes I still have some left.

I second Backwoods Brew casablanca. I like to mix mine with other flavors to give it a different flavor but still keep that tobacco note in there. Like right now I have it mixed with a cherry tobacco that was too light for me, add a little casablanca and im good to go. Good luck in your search, I know im still searching for the same thing.

In my experience, Tribeca was the ONE juice that absolutely needed to steep, but then again, Tribeca is the only Halo juice I've vaped.

I picked up a bottle from a B&M that was fairly well steeped already (sitting on the shelf for about a month) and it was wonderful. Vaped it up, went back and picked up a new bottle... they had just received a fresh shipment, so the bottle was only a few days old.

Blech... tasted like bug spray.

Let it steep a 3-4 weeks and boom... there it is.

I do like their Tribeca, but avoid it because it's fairly expensive, as you said....

You will find that almost all tobacco blends just don't quite get there. Some are close but no cigar! I found that once I got away from the idea of the tobacco-a-likes the vaping became much more exciting and enjoyable. I was so frustrated searching that I almost went back to smoking. Thank God I didn't. Now there are so many choices and variations it is almost limitless! I have to thank the reasoning of my wife for the ability to open my mind and shut my mouth. Damn I hate when she's right!

Alchemy e-Lixirs has two really great tobacco e-liquids that are steeped in 100%vg...
House Blend Tobacco tastes exactly like an analog, great for people who find flavors to taste too saccharine,
and
Captain Black Tobacco has a hint of cherry and rum flavor...super good!
They just launched their e-commerce site a few days ago but they aren't showing in Google yet. The address is:
Alchemy Elixirs |

I know they are out of stock on the e-commerce site but send an inquiry and they'll let you know when the next batch is done steeping or if you live in So. Cal. call Vapeplace to see if they have it in stock.

Hi Thursdy,

I am new to ECF, and somewhat new to the ecig world (2mths). I have/had the same problem as you. I can't find anything that is equal. I did find a taste that is listed as a tobacco flavor and has a similar savoriness like analog smokes. Sinister Liquids ( out of Raleigh, NC) has a flavor called "The Duke" that I have used as my everyday. They also have "Marino Blend" that is similar but more sweet. There standard flavors are all 60/40 VG/PG. It is kinda hard to describe the flavor, I hate to use the association but I almost detect a popcorn taste in there. Which doesn't sound appealing to me, but it works for me(lol). It's a top seller in local shops here. Also, they sell 2ml samples ($2) on the site, so you can give it a try without having to sit on big expensive bottles you will never use. Just my 2cents. If you find anything else that replicates true cigs.. let me know!

I second this I vape marino blend non stop. its my ADV. i love it, and they're awesome at sinister.
