Hi guys and gals. Its been awhile since i peeked in here.. My taste buds have changed and changed and changed. I pulled my gold jug out the fridge and filled up my trusty carto tank.. (Havent used that in awhile) aahh im again in vape heaven...

So my favorite atty is my Kayfun Lite. Thats all ive been vaping with lately, so i cleaned her up and got it ready for joose.. I figured i filler er up with my GOLD.. Forst time trying it in this device... I was shocked that it didnt taste as good in my kayfun than in my carto tank... Anyone else experience this..? I love GOLD & BH in carto tanks. But in kayfun it taste different..

What r ur favorite ways to vape GOLD & BH??

my favorite way to vape BH & Gold is through gennys with the traditional SS mesh wick. i feel that i can really get the depth of the flavors on mesh. BH comes through as a complex vanilla with a very creamy aspect to it. a rich vanilla, if you will. then theres the lite tobacco in the background, giving its trademark cereal/wafer vibe to round it all out perfectly. i get much less of the lite tobacco in other devices. the brilliant vanilla dominates in anything but a genny (for me)
same is true for Gold but in a different way. i get the rich butteryness to pop more with Gold in a genny. its still there in a carto but it feels more blended-in rather than popping out at me. its the conveyance of the umami flavor aspect that gennys amplify. with BH, its the richness of the vanilla and with Gold its the butteryness of the "pancakes" that pops. and of course i taste the lite tobacco more in both from gennys.

are BH and Tappules the only ones youve tried so far?

if so, i recommend Renegade and Gold. if you like nutty vapes, go for Line Rider and Harbor Nite as well. LR is a sweet nutty vape while HN is a robust cocoa nut vape- not sweet. both of them deliver a solid TH. and im a TH enthusiast.

id be willing to try a menthol BH (i dont know about a menthol gold though. gold has so many flavors going on in it that i think menthol might get confused in there). i think i might do a little experiment with BH + UMD.
you see, ive got this thing about not being able to wait after brushing my teeth to have a vape. after i brush, my mods just stare at me, taunting me to vape them. so naturally, i cave. BH is my go-to after brush vape. the minty-mouth effect mixed with the vanilla in BH makes for not only a tolerable after-brush vape, but ive come to crave it! sometimes i wish there was an ever so slight menthol in my BH. i think i may make a sample batch to see what i can concoct.

in my kayfun i do a 7wrap microcoil using 28g a kanthal. my wick is sterile cotton. i enjoy this setup very much.. but ur right.. i fell in love with BH & GOLD back in the carto tank days, and yes i enjoyed it with genisis using mesh... but havent gone down that road in awhile.. i figured my cotton builds should work with everything... im going to pull my gennys out now... thank u Kemosabe... what ohms u vape at with ur gennys?

I've been having some issues with cartos lately. First they wanted to flood and leak all over the place, then they wanted to burn. So I cruised on down to my local B&M where they mentioned they had a new double coil atomizer for tanks. (I suspect they are smoktech). I've never been too fond of atomizers. I'm always flooding them or letting them get too dry. I certainly didn't have much confidence in an atomizer built for a tank system. It was cheap though, so I said I'd give it a try. To my amazement, it works wonderfully...and my Gold tastes even better than it ever has! So far, I've only attempted to use this in a small smokteck tank, so I don't know how well it will work in a larger tank or in my BB, but I'm really enjoying it!

That's exactly how I plan to build my kf clone once it comes. Glad to hear it's working well for you. I'm like you, cotton micros in everything (except gennys but I do want to try it in them too).

For my gennys' ohmage: agat2 1.3, agt 1.4, iAtty 1.1 (ribbon), dud 2.0, chobra 1.2. Currently my only sub ohm build is my trident dripper- it's in dual coil mode with two 28g 9-wrap micros for .6 ohms, and it freekin BLASTS.

I'm running almost the same as you in the dripper, except it's a Nimbus instead of Trident, and the wicks are XC-116 (which I just got a sample to try, and the stuff IS amazing.. you can dry burn it till the cows come home) ... same wraps / gauge / ohms though.

Nice coils kemosabe... When u get ur kayfun clone shoot between 1-1.3ohms on ur microcoil for a mech.. Great wicking and vape.. Here is mine w cotton micro.. This one was 10wrap but it was at 1.6ohms.. I took 2 wraps off later

Oh for sure. Cr and vs are wonderful vapes. I'm sure you'll like em. And if/once you do, you may or may not decide to go with renegade which is caramely, but more. Much more. It just depends on how complex you want it.

Dude that is one mighty fine looking micro. I appreciate the photos of your build as I have yet to do any research on it. I just have read so many positive reviews that it was a no brainier. I plan to build mine just like yours. So does the wick get placed in those channels? Or is that just for juice to run?

Kemosabe - thanks, its easy to get the micro coils like this. when u wrap around ur drill bit get it as close as possible. then u want to squeeze ur micro coil in between some tweezers and hit it with ur torch. coils will turn red and keep them press till they cool. that'll "lock" in the micro coil…

Leave the "juice channel" free of obstruction.. just place ur cotton just like in the picture. i cut off the excess that sticks off the ledge.. i get no dry hits what so ever with this set up.. just remember to saturate wick, then put the chimney on.

Cool. Thanks for the tips. I've tried the micro fire-n-squeeze deal but it always distorts my coils. More practice is needed I guess. I'll get it down. Can't wait to get it in!
