I found a vid so I was able to see the pic I needed..

Wow this is not as easy.. I now understand why people dump the rba after not being able to set up properly. I have done everything as suggested and yet still it shorts somewhere and the ohms are just everywhere, but yet everything looks as it should.
The ss mesh has been oxidized like 100 times, but still shorts. I hope zap is more user friendly then these clones.

Once you get it perfected you will be amazed at just how easy it really is, kind of like learning to ride a bike or something.
I almost gave up many times and I'm not even going to say how long it took me to get it right.

What size drill bit are you using to wrap the coils?

I used a 3/32 bit on my AGA-T+.
Keep in mind the AGA-T and AGA-T+ have different wick hole sizes.
I can fit a 5/64 bit in the hole on my AGA-T.

The pic shows my T+ with 30AWG Kanthal @ 1.3 ohms on a solid 500 mesh wick.
I am still (2 weeks later) using the same coil, but I have had a few issues....

With the solid wick I was having wicking issues and experiencing muted flavor, compared to my hand wrapped loose wick I was using on my AGA-T. Also, one time lining up the air hole with my wick I figured out I didn't have the tank top cranked down all the way. This caused the top coil to dig into the wick and short.

Since then I pulled out the wick and straightened out the coil with the drill bit reinstallled. Then wrapped excess coil wire back around itself at the top post.
I also rolled a new wick around a straightened paper clip.
The new wick brought back the flavor I was missing, but I still have to tip it occasionally to avoid dry hits.

Obviously, I still don't have my wick figured out all the way, but my coil is working great holding around 1.5 ohms.

BTW- I have been oxidizing wick with a cheap Harbor Freight butane torch.
It cost me $8 and it only takes glowing the wick about 3 times to get it oxidized enough for it to stop getting readings on my meter.

Thanks for the tips and pics!! Your right, it does take time and I too almost gave up... I just pulled the trigger on zap so I needed to get this down. After some vids and using some proper tools I was able to get her dialed in. It does vape really well and vapor produciton is fantastic! I didnt use drill bit but found this for when I use to clean pipes with. I think I took the metal out of a box spring mattress but the diameter fit perfectly on the aga t.
