I know I know !! I've read plenty of other posts with a similar newbie question as this (although mine is more specific) with the ever so highly opinionated explaination of "WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GET SOMETHING THAT LOOKS LIKE A REAL CIGARETTE, YUCK !!".... or the "I MADE THE SAME MISTAKE IN BUYING AN OVERPRICED REAL LOOKING ecig WHEN I WAS A NEWBIE", lol... I get it, but I have my reasons...

I am a daily Ego-n-Smoketech Cartomizer vaper, but am looking for a real looking ecig battery (preferably not manual) that would be compatible with my SmokeTech cartomizers.

My reasoning is that, as much as I enjoy vaping off my Joye Ego all day, I play a lot of poker with the guys and would love it if I didnt have to keep my Ego on the table all the time, or hear how "it looks like im smoking a hookah" anymore, lol...

The "real looking" part is kind of not as important as the more important (for me) size, weight, and feel as to a real cigarette. I'd like to have something I can place on my ear while not in use, and preferably auto, so that I can have a drag without a button while shuffling cards and what not...

I actually did originally beging vaping with the GreenSmoke product, which I quickly recognized as being much overpriced for the crap that it is.

Again, just simply looking for an auto battery that would work with my Smoketech 510 2.0 ohm cartomizers. Hoping to get more answers than opinions !! lol :2cool:

Did you check the stickys at the top of the new members forum page? I know nothing about 510's but I think the one in the video for noobs is one and I think it's white.

Now...if you wanted to go with KR808 I know the perfect place to get one ;)

Good luck finding what you want! And I am one that enjoys the cigarette-look-alikes, so no flak from me :)

And welcome!!

My explaination might have been a bit vauge.

I really don't care if it looks like an analog per say, not trying to be stealth about it.:2cool:
If battery is black, or tip lights up blue/green/red, doesn't matter to me.

Just looking for a battery with the weight and size of an analog that would fit my Smoketech cartos. AND IT BE AUTOMATIC !

I've been in your exact situation, poker table and all, and coming from an eGO.... I went the Litecig route, picked up a pair of 510 mega auto batteries:

Joye 510 MEGA Battery

These have a native 510 connector, so will work with all of your eGO attys and cartos. I went the mega route for the length. The 510 mega batteries are 280mAh, which is exactly the same as a standard KR808 battery. Only bummer is that you'd need to pick up a "regular" 510 charger, since your eGO charger will kill these batteries with too much current.

Joye 510 USB Charger

Here is the one I have, looks similar (almost identical) to an eGO charger, so make sure if you go this route to mark them accordingly.

This batt works well with standard resistance attys as well as cartos. Never tried a LR atty, since the capacity of the battery is really too low IMHO.

This setup can be had from many diff vendors, and has worked well for me. I personally use a delrin drip tip on my cartos to give me something to "chomp" in my mouth and puff on, plus it keeps the heat from the cartos away from your lips.

The 2.0 cartos should be fine with a 280mAh battery (worked fine for me). Dunno how long they will last for you, but they aren't low enough to be considered "true" LR.

Good luck in your search, and welcome!

I think what you would want to do is to pick up a KR808 kit. This would mean having a second set of carto's but because of the battery life and size you are looking for I think you would be happy with the 808. You can also get a 510-901 adapter to use your 510 cartos on the 808 battery. I think the 2 ohm cartos may be a little to hot on a fresh battery however. It is definitely worth a try.

I am going to be getting the adapter for myself to try as I also use the 2 ohm cartos on my ego and also have 808 auto's that I like using when I'm working so I can clamp it between my teeth leaving both hands free. I already have the 808to510 adapter to use my 808 cartridges on my ego but most are a bit to cool. I am hoping the reverse will work better so that I can switch to one type of carto across the board.

Wait wait. These are 510 threaded attys?

What is the ohms resistance of your Smoketech atomizers? Because if you plan to put LR attys on a slim battery then you better buy spare batteries too. According to many people, LR attys or cartos will damage or kill slim batteries. Go buy 6 Joye 510 white batteries.

He is using 510 2ohm cartomizers. These are technically LR Cartomizers but IMO they should be OK on an 808 battery. Probably not recommended but it should work. I wouldn't try anything lower than 2ohm however and even that may be to hot and burn your juice. It will probably be way to hot on a freshly charged battery. However 2.5 Ohm seems to be the sweet spot that will probably work on both. I think he is looking to have only one type of cartomizer but IMO the 510 sticks just wouldn't last long enough but probably would work better at 2ohm as they have a lower voltage but the batteries will drain a lot faster running at 2ohm.

I should also add that I will probably be switching entirely to the new vortex cartomizers from Gotvapes in the future. The box I just purchased work well on my 808, 808 PT, and ego. The vape is a little different on each as they all have different voltage profiles but the taste is still good on all 3. The big draw back on these at this point is that they are not rugged enough for hanging out of the mouth wile using both hands. Hopefully this will be addressed in the next couple of iterations of these as I have been very impresses with the fist go at this design.

Why an 808 battery? 808 is higher voltage than a 510 battery (I think 3.7 vs 3.2) and will generate more heat/wattage with a 2.0 atty than an Ego (3.4?).

Are 808's sturdier in some way than 510 batteries?

And BTW attys - really? Are you dripping? Have you tried cartomizers?

He is using cartomizers.

808 has longer battery life.
If he is using 2ohm on a 510 battery the effective battery life will be much shorter which is why I would recommend an 808 for the longer battery life. And, yes it will be much hotter on an 808 battery. Just not sure how much hotter until we try it. I am sure if searched there is info from someone that has already tried it. I just haven't found the right combination of search terms to find the info on it so I am getting myself the adapter as I want to use the 510 cartos on my 808 batteries also.
