Looking for some guidance, and help

Hey guys, I've been reading the forums for about two days now. Trying to get a grip on all of the knowledge that is floating around here.

I have decided that I am going to buy a PV. I am just having a serious problem deciding which one.

I hear the Joye 510 get great reviews. however, I also hear it has leakage problems.

I have been considering a J118 but it is a little long.

And then (I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but so be it.) I am considering getting a B*u (I read somewhere on the forum that I shouldn't spell it out) starter kit.

The reason I have boiled it down to these three are because I can get a PCC for each. and that is the real deal breaker. I am leaning towards the 519 at the moment. However, I don't like what I've heard about the cart's dripping. The J118 is a little to expensive. And well, I'm not expecting much in the way of hearing about the B** except for how bad it is (just fyi, I have tried it, and only it. it seems alright, but I hear the others are better)

Any knowledge would be great, also if anyone has bought from ruyandirect.com could you let me know how you feel about their shipping times and things like that?

Also, how often do cartridges need to be re-filled in the 510? how much juice is needed for a months supply?

I ordered a joye 510 and a pcc, some carts,juice, and an extra battery on wednesday and am patiently waiting for it to arrive. I received a ship confirmation about a day or so after I ordered it and they say that the shipping is 7-10 business days. I can let you know after I get it, how long it actually took. I know there are other suppliers that can get it to you quicker if you are in a hurry. I am hoping that mine will arrive sometime next week. They did provide tracking but it just said that it departed a sorting center in china somewhere last time I checked it. I have read some good things on this forum about ruyan and they really seem to have pretty good prices. I am a newbie also and spent a few weeks reading posts and checking prices on different sites that people mentioned. This being said, I think it kinda boils down to how long do you want to wait to get it once it is ordered and are you willing to pay a couple extra bucks to get it quicker. That you will have to decide just like I did.

blu isn't even taking order for the next month and supposedly you'll wait on top of that. I have had some 510 carts and atty's that are different size. some are tight with some attys and some are loose with others. Ruyan direct is great to work with just a 7-10 day wait from china. I fill about 3-4 carts a day which is quite a bit. 30-90ml would last a month (everyone vapes differently) ruyan has great price on blank carts

I forgot to try to answer about the juice question. I cannot speak from experience but I have read here that the average is 2-3 ml of juice per day for the average user. As far as the refill of the 510 carts, I am not sure. I think that I read that each one is about 4-6 cigarettes.

Welcome to the forum. Blu is not a restricted word. There was a problem a few weeks ago with spamming but that seems to have passed by. I can't say anything specifically bad about Blu, Nor can I say anything good, because I have no firsthand experience with it. I will say that several people who have ordered the Blu have come back on the forum to say they have canceled the order because of a 2-3 week backlog in shipping.

To make a specific recommendation, I would need to know a little about your smking habits in terms of brand and consumption.

I know of no specific ongoing issue with the 510 leakage you speak of. My wife owns 7- 510 kits and has had no issues at all. She really likes it and uses it constantly.

As far as how long a cart lasts and how much juice you will use, that is really an individual thing. My wife probably uses around 2ml a day. She can go for 1-2 hours on a cart before topping off (different from refilling).

She was a 1.5 pack a day smoke of Pall Mall Lights before quitting.

For an additional point of reference, I used to smoke around 5 cigarettes per day.
I use my 510 the same way I smoked, only outside on breaks.

Unless of course I'm out drinking.


Anyway, I use less than 1ml per day, unless I go out drinking.

As far as how many cigarettes a cartridge would be equivalent to, I will probably never know.
I take many puffs at one time, in relative succession, while out having a smoke break.
Because of that my juice does not wick fast enough when it is not very full.

I have to top off pretty much every other cigarette break, even though there is more juice in there.

as for my smoking habits, I could kill a pack and 3/4's of Camel Turkish Silvers in a day. I have tried to slow a bit, and now mostly just smoke about a pack a day.

Elendil, glad to hear about the leakage problems on the 510 not being an issue for you, I can't specifically remember what post's I had read them in. but I think it was after they had tried to out a new filling in the cart.

as for topping off and re-filling, what's the real difference?

how much juice does it take to re-fill?

I really think i'm sold on the 510 Joye Tech Starter KIT from Nhaler, it comes with two 6ml bottles to get me started. I'll just buy the PCC from ruyan.

This whole liquid thing is what is making me leary of getting a PV.

Due to Elendil's recomendation I decided to buy a 510! I am excited to get it, and can't wait to let you guys know how my e-cig experience is!
