Not sure if this post is in the right forum section, apologies if its not.

I have only been vaping about 2 months and started out with a ego mega VV clone which worked for a few days had problems for which I got my money back. I then decided on something a bit more substantial that was VV/VW and after talking to a friend who had one bought a Innokin SVD after 4 weeks the trigger switch collapsed and a couple of weeks later the switch stopped working altogether.

I know it's repairable but figure getting it apart will probably destroy the seals and stability of the housing, so I could transfer the electronics into some kind of mod box.

Does anyone know where I could get something not unlike the form factor of an MVP? being new to vaping I really haven't got a clue where to look but I do come from an electronics background and am more than happy to give it a go seems a waste given it's repairable.

A broken MVP would work if anyone could point me in the right direction!

Vape on!

Do you really think fixing the SVD into a box mod is something worth working towards? I mean it is at best a 50/50 shot and then it still may have issues down the road.

I am all for modding something new, but really with the prices of the MVP 2.0 lately and all of the other VV/VW mods in that range, it just seems like an exercise in futility. I say put the SVD in a drawer and save it for parts and buy a new mod. With what you will pay for in parts, you will have around the amount to just buy a new mod.

That is why the Chinese mods are so cheap: the lack in quality control. Personally, I never had an issue with my MVP or the iTaste VV I owned. I have not heard much of this serious of an issue with the SVD either.
