Hello all!
New to the forums, new to vaping, etc.
Out of a really sudden and impulsive urge to try an ecig, I dropped by a local Walgreens and picked up a Blu kit.
I know, I know... Before you guys tell (remind) me that my 60 + 15 dollar investment was a poor one, let me just start off by saying here's what I'm ultimately looking for in my new foray into the vaping/e-cig world:
- I want something that is at least somewhat portable. I don't much fancy the idea of carrying all different kinds of bits n bobs everywhere i go, whenever i drive, etc.
- I want something that is widely available, in terms of the cartridges/ejuice/whatever. The nicotine + whatever has at least somewhat resemblance of the act of "smoking" is what I'm after. Let's face it, smoking is a very impulsive habit, and I just really don't like the idea of running out (insert any form of nicotine here) in the middle of the night or while im travelling. Order in bulk ahead of time online? Please... I'm a smoker, if I had the ability to think long term and plan ahead, I would've not started smoking in the first place =P
- I want something that can last at least a day with me, in terms of battery life. I can be a fairly heavy smoker on a good day, but I see no problem in having to re-charge something on a nightly basis, as I see it akin to keeping a cellphone (use during the day, charge at night, etc)
So based on my desired attributes, I was hoping the Blu kit would be able to reasonably meet those criteria. I like the fact that if you do run out of the refills, you can hop into a 24hr walgreens and pick up a set of refills. I don't like that the battery life is next-to-nothing.
Based on my initial experience with Blu, I figure maybe pick up a better performing, longer lasting battery which can take the Blu refills. That way I have peace of mind knowing my battery isnt junk, but still feel safe that i can just mosey on over to the store to pick up refills if needed.
What are some decent batteries which can take the Blu refills?
Any other recommended "setups" which might fulfill my desired qualities in an e-cig?
Also, another quick question:
What is the generally accepted/recommended method of re-charging e-cig batteries (to maximize life, capacity, etc)? Run it low til it dies, recharge fully? or charge often, dont run it dry, etc?
