You can find some good deals on the old Sig 150W now that the tc one is out.

This may be a good option, the sig 150's that aren't temp control are going around $62 to $70 shipped, and are a proven mod. The ipv4s in my opinion is one of the best temp control mod values around, although I've never even used one, but I will be ordering one eventually. Personally I'm waiting on the the istick 100 to be out for another month than I'm going to pick up at least one depending on reviews for a beater mod.

If you don't mind a single battery mod, the sigelei 75 watt tc ($60 ish), the ipv mini 2 ($50 ish) and the ipvd2 ($55 ish) are all solid mods for good prices, and the 75 to 70 watts they go up to may be all you need for quite a while! You don't need to use the tc, but can experiment with it eventually if it's already there.

I've ordered the istick 100W twice for a beater mod, and both times got an email next day that they had run out of stock. I have 2 more pairs of married batteries here, but no istick.

Dang!! I go to bed and just woke up and I have this book to read on here! XD

Well I love everyone's input it's really awesome to hear all your experiences and preferences. This is exactly why I decided to finally make an account and get busy.

It looks like I will have to do some research a little more but the sig 150 and IPv4 looks like they are good contenders for the price range. I totally forsee me adding another expensive hobby to the list long term but for now, cheapish and functional is the goal. With that being said, I'm going to have to research the 2 above mods.

I know that I have seen a lot of not so good reviews for the istick series but I do have to say, I've put my istick through a lot so far and other than it being dinged to hades and back, it still works like a champ! I'm super rough on my stuff. I've dropped this so many times while working and playing and it still pushes the power like its new.

With that being said, I don't know how I would feel spending $100 +/- and dropping it only to find that I broke it. Dropping a $40 unit and having it break, not so much of a bummer.

Although anytime you "set money on fire" is definitely a bad time.

Wel, it looks like I'm off to do some research! Thanks everyone!

I'll definitely keep up on here and let yall know what I come up with. Feel free to keep the suggestions coming in the meantime.

I Picked up the snow wolf and love it, it will run anything you will ever want to put on it, it is a beast of a mod, next I would go with the new sig, last on my list would be the ipv3 li, I own all three and they all preform very well, I just seem to prefer the wolf more than the other two and find I use the ipv less, however they all are well built and do the job well. Maybe it's the way the wolf looks or the way it feels in my hand idk but that's my preference

The snow wolf is an awesome mod imo. I've loved it since the day I got it. But as stated above, soon you will find yourself buying mod after mod. It is unavoidable. But it's all good. Every one I've purchased I have used long enough to more then cover the cost vs money saved on analogs+years of life added.
