Ive been using a 1.9-2.4 single coil (32g) build in my Magma clone+Itaste v3. And while its good for what it is, I have my eleaf Istick30w comming tomorrow
I am working with

-Magma Clone
-Mutation X v2
-Igo-W (comming tomorrow)

-28g Kanthal a1
-30g Kanthal a1
-32g Kanthal a1

-Organic Cotton
-Ekowool 1.5 solid
-Ekowool 2 Hollow
-2mm Silica

-every conceivable drillbit size under the sun

I am leaning to a dual coil for it, maybe on the MutX. But honestly, besides my Halo Tritons and more recently the Itaste and magma, I never really ventured beyond my 2-2.4ohm "safe zone". I am just looking for suggestions for maximum flavor with these possible setups.

I would probably start with playing around with that 28guage first. The thinner the wire the hotter it's going to run, meaning a 28guage coil at 1.5 ohms is going to be cooler than say a 32guage coil at 1.5 ohms running at the same wattage. Plus you'll get more surface area with the thicker gauge and more vapor and flavor, but the vape will be cooler. Can't really tell you exactly what to do, but I do know I get pretty decent flavor and vapor and warmth at around 1.5-1.7ohms single coil and I like using 29 and 30 gauge wire. It's all subjective, juice dependent and an seemingly almost infinite combination of things to play around with... Gives me headaches sometimes. Good luck!

yeah, thats where Im at now. The more I read, the more I dont comprehend and feel stupider. Seems like when doing multiple coils, gotta watch for the amp limit too and thats another headache im trying to work through. Sometimes I wish someone could just dummify things and say "build this, would be great", but I know that its not that simple.

Ive been seeing some stuff about parallel wraps too. Is that good for flavor or is it ment more for clouds?

I've never messed around with Parrallel wraps, as I don't like to sub ohm. I've tried it, but you have to lower your nic as is will knock you on your .... with the 36mg I use, My family doesn't seem to appreciate me filling up the den with basically concert level fog, and it's a lot more expensive in juice. I also want to keep things at temps where things cant possibly get toxic. Lately I've just been playing around with single coil builds varying the gauges and ohms and diameters of the coils. Narrowed things down to 29 and 30 gauge wire, and that's probably enough to keep me busy for a while. Just playing around with these limited variables gives such a variety in how these things vape. Don't need a lot of power either, which means smaller batts, longer lasting batts ect..
