I am currently using the Premier Voodoo Hookah pen. I started vaping July 12, 2014 and started with 21mg nicotine. I am at the point now where I am going to drop to 18mg. The problem is I am hitting my pen more and more often because I am not getting the throat hit that I am looking for. My brother has been vaping for two years now and is going to be helping me to find something that is as simple to use as the one I am using now, but with more of a throat hit to it and adjustable. I am also having problems with finding liquids that are satisfying. I mainly use the Voodoo liquids, which now only the Mint Frost is tasting good to me and the Buck Naked Grape( which literally tastes like grape koolaid ). Other than that I cannot find something sweet enough. I just bought two new liquids from 4HumorsEmporium. I had them do a grape/Ice mix which is okay, but not as sweet as I have been craving. I have the straight Ice liquid to try as well. It tasted good when I was there. Anyone with any suggestions on liquids? Pros or Cons on different atomizers?

Thanks!
Teresa

Hey Teresa! Welcome to ecf. I know all the fine folks here will have some great suggestions for you to keep off of the analogs. Thats what we call traditional cigarettes.
So.... I have suggested to my sister the nautilus mini with bvc heads. And possibly a cana mod since i hear that these heads are capable of some high wattages. I think that would be a substantial upgrade to her current set-up. Although i have been out of the clearo game for a while, everything i hear about these bvc heads is amazing. So lets hear some suggestions and make her feel welcome!!

Hi Teresa!
I still use my evod, and really never had a desire to step up to a bigger set up. I still use the bccs. You could upgrade to a spinner if you need more of a kick. As far as sweet liquids, every company makes their sweet ones. Personally I am more into custard and darker flavors. That is the most frustrating aspect of vaping for me is finding a go to vape. Nicoticket is pretty good and service and customer satisfaction rank up there. My son ordered some sweet liquids from apollo vapor and I tried them but they are WAY too sweet for me. Baja burst is what he likes and watermelon kiwi, green apple. They may be to your liking.

I think a step up would be one of the best ways for me to keep vaping and enjoy it. I will definitely be looking into the Apollo vapors and see if they are sweet enough for my pallet. I am very picky when it comes to the way things taste. Is there a place where you can find and taste Apollo liquids in Lancaster, PA or is it just an order one or two online and see if I like them? It will take me a little while to get into finding out how to go about finding the best places ect for all of my vaping needs.

Thanks for all the info so far!

Keep a special tank with the higher strength for occasional use, and use the lower strength as your regular vape.

Last year I used to keep a small v-nano with 24 mg next to my computer at home; take a puff with my morning cup o coffee, and an occassional puff at night while on my computer; regular vape otherwise including at work was often 0 or low mg nicotine.

Not too sure about them being in Pa, they are out of Ca. You can order a 5 bottle sample from them, 10mls apiece. Ran around 18$ i think, and received it within 3 days to NJ. They are pretty quick on the delivery, very professional co. I think they may be one of the oldest vape co's around. Good luck! Btw, there is a place called vapor galleria in Allentown Pa, i bought some from them http://vaporgalleria.com/about-us/at a set-up they had at the allentown fair called "aphrodite" very sweet, My son vaped it, was too sweet for me.

So iv been vaping for about 2 yrs. my go-to suppliers are Namberjuice, Heathers Heavenly Vapes, and the Vapor Cafe of Ephrata. All top notch liquids and VERY reputable companies. But im sure iv sampled over 100 vendors, those are just what i like over long periods of time. I can honestly say that anyone who vapes should try cartomater crush by namberjuice. My favorite juice to date and its been re-ordered many times. And i know you like that cooling kick, quite a few of his juices have that aspect to them. Just my 2 cents on flavors.

I always going to your local B&M for juice so you can "try before you buy". Also, you would, likely, be money to up grade to a MVP 2.0 and a Kanger or Nautilus tank. With VV/VW and adjustable air flow. Adjustable power and air flow will allow you to make your juice hit the way you want it to.

Is the Namberjuice a local one or is that one that you order from? The more that I have been hitting the grape/ice one I got yesterday, the more I am liking it. It's not as strong flavor wise as I had hoped, but it is satisfying and a change for now. Not sure if it's because it's a lighter liquid than the Voodoo and Buck Naked ones or because I dropped in mg, but I'm hitting it a good bit more than I was with the others.

I'll second the MVP/Nautilus mini recommendation. There is no better regulated mod for the money in my opinion. I run a KFL on mine and I have plenty of power for my tastes. Also, if your juices are not sweet enough, you can get sweetner from any place that sells DIY supplies like ecigexpress for about $3. A 10 ml bottle would last a very long time if your just sweetening premixed juices.

Teresa,

I started vaping about 3 years ago when I came home from Afghanistan. I started on the Volcano E cig which worked for about 3 months. I found a local shop that allows sampling and they helped me start learning about the other side of E cigs, vaping. I can tell you that everything for a good throat hit starts with a decent mod, mechanical or digital. To produce the best taste, throat hit and vapor production the minimum is a 3.7v battery and mod. The Smoktech SID is a good place to start, it has multiple functions, variable wattage/voltage and an easy ready digital screen. I personally keep a few different kanger protanks 2/3 around the house. They require minimal maintenance, a new dual coil every few weeks and a quick rinse out to remove any remaining juice out.

As for flavors, Google smoke shops in your area and check them out. Most places have samples out to try for free. I go out and try different juices and order them online. Most internet companies will adjust your pg/vg ratio if you ask them to. All I can say is play around and see what makes you happy.

Best of luck,

N

The Namberjuice is an online company. Over $50 order gets free 2 day shipping. My orders are always over $50 so its great for me. Ask me about a flavor from them if u have any questions. Iv tried them all. And we will have to set up a time to meet at the cafe and i can show you what some of the people here are talking about. Plus theres LOTS of juice to try.
