I see a lot of comments saying "laugh at what?" or other similar.
What we are all saying is "Congratulations on making the decision to quit analogs!" It can be one of the most difficult and rewarding changes that you can make in your life! The method you choose should be the method that works best for you! For my cigalike, I enjoyed my Blu. The vanilla has always, and still is, the best pure vanilla I could find. The only down side for me was that the battery only lasted about 2 hours.
Good luck!

Thanks for starting this thread. You aren't the only one out there looking for a decent cig-a-like vape.

It seems they all fall into the cheap egos category, which is dissapointing.

I have to check with my friend to see what he was vaping the other day...it was a cig-a-like, but was TINY...like 2" long, maybe 3/8" thick. It had it's own case that was a charging dock. I've never been interested in cig-a-likes, but when I saw this thing I was intrigued!!

I'll check with him and find out what it was...he just got it.

All good responses and much appreciated.
Been vaping since Dec 2011. Started w/ G6. Relapsed a while ago, and since then has been kinda hit and miss.

2 things got me thinking about looking into cigalike options.
1) Coming round full circle/going back to where I started vaping
2) W/ a lot on my mind lately, spend a lot time walking around pacing, praying, thinking and, well, smoking. I tried taking my various PV models w/ me, but so accustomed to the "cig in hand" while I do this. I end up smoking WAY past curbing a craving. (One night, I even noticed I had polished off a pack in under two hours.) So I thought, why not get back to a cigalike to retain that "cig in hand" action.

But there have been SOOO many advances in the last 2 years, but I haven't paid much attention to cigalike advancements, hence the thread.

However, some generous member offered to send me hid old eRoll, so I am going to go w/ that.
Still curious to see if there is anything else y'all come up with.

I DO have some WTA, which I will be using in the eRoll.
As far as nic strength, I am DIYing 30mg and on a full vape day, I can go through 10ml. But then again, on a full smoking day, I can go through 4 packs. :(

I did break out my old G6 gear today, but they have been sitting dormant so long they are pretty much useless.

I could go w/ an eGo or something with a button, but really trying to address the "cig in hand while I pace" habit. Replicating the analog feel as much as possible.

My main gear's all mods at present. While I can get plenty of nicotine delivery, I still end up craving an analog while I pace.

Just trying to cover all the bases of all the really good comments in this thread, and I thank you all so very much.

Just feel like in some ways I need to go back to the beginning. Like I have relapsed enough to need those 1st year incentives that a cigalike gives.
Didn't realize/remember until now how important those things are to new vapers, because I HAD gotten to the place where I didn't need the "cig in hand" feel/grown accustomed to the handling of advanced gear.
But yeah, it can be a big deal.

I too have been vaping since Dec. 2011, and around Feb. 2012 is when I got my first started kit from V2. Now, nearly 3 years later, I still use V2 cigalikes. I have some desire to upgrade to better device, but not a burning desire. I like the V2 lifetime warranty, and rarely buy gear because of it. A battery stops working, V2 sends me out a new one, and then I pay around $2 postage to send the non-working one back to them. I use V2 clearos or third party clearos and like my setup. It works, and I have little to no issue vaping wherever I please (always done with consideration / respect).

I am dual user but currently in a phase where I can't recall my last smoke, been at least 6 days. I am somewhat in phase to cut down and so far so good, but really am not trying and do not beat myself up if I have one. I like a smoke once in awhile. I think bigger devices are perhaps better for cessation, but feel a cigalike can work.

If it matters to you, all my batts from V2 are the longest one they sell and are manuals.

but for dependability, ease of use, and customer service, you can't beat the Volt 808 battery by Smokeless Image. The owner maintains her own sub-forum in the Vendors page. Good people, good device.

Have you ever bought and used their products? I've been eyeballing their cigalike kits, because sometimes I just don't feel like lugging my bulky eGo gear around, especially if I'm just going to the grocery store or something. Like most everyone here, I started out using cigalikes, and the only decent ones I tried were from V4L. They were pretty good, but still didn't hit quite hard enough, even at higher nic levels. I'm really just looking for a cigalike that, at a higher than normal nic level, will at least hit like a basic, fixed voltage eGo with a CE4, at 18mgs, if there is such a thing. Is there....? I'm aware that the NJOY is pretty strong, but they're also pretty expensive, so, not interested. I noticed Smokeless Image sells cartos as high as 24mg, I've googled them extensively and I'm aware of their stellar reputation, so I'm awfully tempted to order from them. Anyone's opinion is welcome.

EXACTLY why I still have cigalikes and high nic tobacco flavors. A lot of people here will suggest the Joyetech eRoll, but for dependability, ease of use, and customer service, you can't beat the Volt 808 battery by Smokeless Image.

How is that different than a joyetech ego battery with a kanger T2 or something?

Looks like it's pretty new, but Mistic has announced a new model head that is refillable, and works with their standard cig-alike batteries. The 'Bridge':

While I don't like the non-510 threading that they use, I found Mistics to be a decent, local choice early on. I never liked cartomizers, so a refillable head that maintains the original size pretty closely is quite interesting. I'll probably try one, at some point, but there is little info on it at this time.
