I tried a lot of different things my first few weeks then heard about genesis atomizers. I upgraded to a mini pro. And a did and haven't looked back. Have since given away or sold my cartons and other tanks. Now I'm hooked and can't stop buying any genni I can get my hands on and am patiently waitin on list for a Caravela.
Looking for the best of the best.

Yes, the Vario is made in China. They will be available in about 3 weeks according to Tim, the owner of Vaporbeast, with whom I had a long conversation with today.
The Provari is a trumped up circuit in a flashlight tube. It's pretty hard for a circuit to go bad unless it's made with crappy parts that aren't designed to withstand the loads. That's why you have electronics that last decades.
Probably 99% of all ecigs that have been manufactured in the world come from China. As does your TV, your xbox360, your computer, and probably most of the electronics in your house (especially if you're an apple fanboy). That's right, APPLE IPHONES, and IPADS are made in China. Apple, the king of reliability. China is not a dirty word. If China sucks so bad there wouldn't be an ECF, because there would be no ecigs since is was them who brought it back to life from an american design from the 1960's. When you make millions and billions of products as fast as they do there's going to be a certain inconsistency factor, which they usually just replace the product for free because, in the time it takes to deal with a whiny customer, they've made 10 billion more. Oh also most of the e-juice in the world comes from China too. No one has died that I know of.
Second of all, the Vario has a better airhole system, can fit clearos that screw into ego cone threads without an adapter, and it's 5 amps (to the provari's 3.5) which means you could theoretically put a 1.2ohm atomizer coil on it at 6v and it wouldn't melt or short out. Say that about the Provari which is practically a Methuselah at this point. What if tomorrow the best tank on the market uses those ego cone threads (like the Stardust does, which is a piece of junk, but that's besides the point)? Then all these provari owners are scrambling to buy chinese made adapters to put on their PV's and then say that they have an All-American-Made tube mod... Vario owners will laugh and screw it right on and vape it up.
I'll be getting a Vario and I will be posting my unbiased review at that time. I do hope that it knocks the Lavatube 2.0 (which is barely an improvement over the first) out of the park, if not the Provari though. The time for $200 tube mods and low supply versus large demand should be over after all these years.
i got my provari and ego twist in the mail today. i was pleasantly surprised at how small the provari is. i imagined it being much bulkier. im still using my 306's until my DiD and vivi novas come in.
Provari is a nice PV, so is a ferrari in the car world, but I am not going to go buy one unless I have money to burn. It is not a convenient device to carry around at all.
My vote for VV is the TWIST, unless you like to vape over 4.8v. For a device that you are going to sit at home and vape on the provari is great but who wants to leave there ferrari at home??

I drive all day so it shouldnt be too much trouble to find a place for it in my truck. also the provari is shorter than my twist and only a little under twice as wide. As for price i figured i use my PV more than anything i own so it didnt bother me much.
Having just received my Provari v2 today I can safely say....
I wish I would have skipped the Twists and gone straight for this bad boy. The difference is night and day. I can't wait to obtain some higher resistance heads to try out vaping at higher voltages! (currently had a bunch of LR heads for my Nova due to the restrictions of the Twist)

Seconding the REO especially if you drive a lot, and stick with the same juice- it's a beautiful, phenominal, solid machine. Sort of the Mercedes to the Provari's Ferrari- solid build quality, excellent performance, and no tinkering. You don't have the variable volt capacity, but you also don't spend a lot of time making sure it's tuned up, and getting fluid all over your hands from having to use a tank system.
First, let me remind you that the title of this thread is "Looking for the best of the best." Not the cheapest or best value or most bang-for-your-buck. Best. And you recommended a device that has great specs on paper, but is vaporware and is manufactured in China.
So, are you actually arguing that Chinese ecigs are of the same quality, durability and reliability as a Provari? Really?
And are you suggesting that the manufacturers of the Vario and the LavaTube, VMax, etc. are held to the same quality control standards to which Apple holds their manufacturers? Really?
And who would ever put a 1.2ohm atomizer on a 6 volt PV? Criticizing the Provari for that is sorta like criticizing a Corvette for not being able to haul a load of logs as well as a logging truck. If that's the main complaint against the Provari, then I need to buy one. That's a complete non-issue.
The chances of ANY new tank requiring an Ego thread is somewhere below zero. And if a Provari owner wants to use a stardust clearomizer, Provape sells a "Made in the USA" one. Ego-T Adapter. Big deal.
I'm not sure if or why you have a bone to pick with the Provari, but you are certainly having to pick at tiny little nits in order to justify your arguments.
Let me be clear: I don't own a Provari, and I have no bone to pick with the Vario or VaporBeast. I hope the Vario is as well built, durable, dependable and satisfying to use as a Provari, although there is zero chance of that. I've been around too long to believe in free lunches. It may very well be a fine PV and a good value. I hope so. I do hope that it raises the bar for PVs such as the LavaTube, VMax and others of their ilk.
I've had a Provari for about 4 months now and really like it. It's very solid. As for an atty I've use the Cisco 306 and one from Joytech and like both though the Cisco seems to produce more vapor and give a cleaner taste.
Well said. Really you don't vape any 1.2ohm attys at 6v? Lol. I think we all kind of read thru this bone to pick with provape meaning, he don't have one. That's the complaint.
Should look for the DCA for ur Cisco. They work very well. No more leaking and I think actually intensifies the flavor. Since I got one I haven't used my 306's without it.
I just ordered a vario / Imotion2 v+ last week and I am really hoping it will be my new all day PV, right now I'm using a LT and vivi at home and a twist and stardust on the go and there pretty good but not amazing.
I want to get a provari and genesis atty some day because everyone knows that they are the best by far, but for now the vario and new vivi rebuildable are hopefully going to tie me over.
I know there is a lot of back n forth comments on the vario and provari here but everyone needs to just relax and wait a few more weeks until myself and all the other folks out there test the vario and put up our reviews to let you know if its a POS or if it works as good as a provari.
IMO I think it doesn't look as nice and I'm sure it wont be as strong, and that the finish will rub right off but the one thing I have no idea about is the quality of the circuitry, which for all we know could be amazing.
and as for the Provari being amazing because its made in the states and the vario being horrible for being mass produced in china I just want to say that they are both equally garbage compared to the Canadian mods coming out of my basement since I only make 1 or 2 a year so they must be the best quality mods out there!!
