Welcome sofreshsoclean
I have been
vaping exclusively for 11 months, but I dabbled off and on over the past 4+ years. I smoked about a pack a day for about 25 years prior. Smoking was "cool", and "all my friends did it" I watched my uncle die from lung cancer a couple of years ago (he was a pipe smoker) and I don't want that same fate. Yes, there may be risks involved with
vaping - thank you for educating yourself, rather than making blanket statements.
IMO, the risks from vaping are significantly less than the risks with continuing to smoke. I didn't try patches or gum or prescription medications. I like the "hand-to-mouth" aspect of smoking. Which, is why I'm comfortable with vaping. Will I ever drop to zero nic? I don't know. I'm at a pretty low level (and started at a pretty low level) of about 10mg. I don't like the taste of more nic (and I don't like the jitters - nic sick - of it either.)
I build my own coils (wicked with cotton or organic Japanese cotton) and make my own juice (so I know what's going in it - as much as I know what's in the components of the juice.) I'm comfortable with it. If something does come of it - that will be my burden to bear. But, my senses are cleaner - things taste better, smell better. My clothes and car don't reek, and my better half no longer has to "kiss an ashtray" All wins in my book...
