since Saturday so many things have happened! I spent more money on Christmas gifts than I had intended, on the way to buying 1 we were creamed on the highway. traffic was STOPPED and we got creamed and threw US into the lady in front of us. Driver was probably going 65 or 70, looking down, didn't see everyone stopped. Driver of the car in front of us was taken to the hospital to be safe because she's pregnant and hit the steering wheel pretty hard. I declined but busted up my mouth pretty good on who knows what. I have an UGLY bruise on my lip and numb spots that feel like I've been to the dentist in different spots on my face. Our car was taken away on a wrecker, it will probably be totaled. Now we have no car and did I mention I look UGLY? I wanted a cigarette BAD!! My vivi nova was acting weird, hubs' ego was acting weird too. This is what stopped me... it's been almost 2 months and we've come too far to cave now!! Then this morning I was 1/2 asleep getting a cup of coffee and dropped my zmas that I've named Lou on the floor, head 1st and broke my vivi nova at the base. Its still working but barely hanging on. Waiting on my new tank I ordered that OCD said was mailed way before I expected.
Silver lining... we are alive, we didn't smoke, we didn't want to pay that car payment any more anyway, and IBTanked ROCKS!! Oh and I got a Kindle Fire from my kids for Christmas!! yes there is a silver lining after all!!

Glad to see youre still hanging in there and that youre both okay! This time of the year is the worst for driving because of people being distracted and also drinking. I was a bartender for 20 years and even the day shift was busy this time of year with people stopping in for a drink at 10am.

Hopefully you'll get your tanks in a couple of days and will love them!

for sure, dude said he only looked down for a second, I call BS because the rest of us were stopped and he used our car as his brake. my mouth is still sore and I look a little like I have 1/2 a mustache. My teeth and guns are even sore. People stare at me so I started calling my zmax walking to the store do it would give them something different to stare at. lol
I am excited beyond belief to get my tank. They made a special 1 for me and I can't wait to get it!! lol

so glad you are ok!! I got creamed on the 435/Wornall exit ramp at christmas time a few years ago. Same sitch...dude in a BMW was texting and not paying attention. Whalloped my SUV at 55-60MPH. I hit my arm against my gear shifter and that hurt for a month! If you run into an emergency and need parts, I have a new Vivi never used that I would be happy to PIF to you if need. There were so many bad wrecks around here this weekend....so glad you are all ok!

You aren't kidding, got a notification that last night our friends 3 month old son passed away. He was born with health issues and has been in the hospital since birth on life support. My heart just breaks for them!! Like I told my sister last night, things might be bad right now but they could be so much worse!!

Mojo for better days ahead!!

This ^^^^

Wow Sennie, always tough to hear about folks getting the rough end. I lol'd a little about not wanting that car payment any longer, The Mrs and I for the first time in like ever have been about 2 years now without one. He car has over 250,000 miles on it and getting long in the tooth but still going so we are just enjoying it as long as we can.

Hope everything comes out well for you.

I am glad too. waited 4 days to get in to see my Dr HOPING to avoid an ER visit only to call and be told that I need to go to the ER anyway. So 4 1/2 hours at St Mary' s come out when we are done, hubs sits his 1 liter right on the vivi nova and it snaps the rest of the way off. Ugh!! No broken boned or real serious injury, just whiplash and an UGLY face. Dr said the numb spots could take a couple of weeks to clear up.
When the driver picked up our car that day he said they were getting calls about every 30 minutes for another accident. It was crazy out there!!
Thank you for the offer, right now I am holding it on with each vape. I HOPE my tank comes FAST!! lol

OCD, Thanks, it has just been a rough year in general but the thing about being on the bottom is that UP isn't that far away!! lol
yep, thinking we might buy a friend' s old car they have for sale. not only will we not have a car payment but we can just get liability insurance and that works for me!! :)

Thats the way to look at it Sennie, For us the bottom has never been far away. Getting a little better now that the kids are all grown, them damn rearing years can be rough. I know I shouldnt because its a good way to be wrong but I read a lot into your posts that seem so similar to the Mrs and I, just regular folks sort of thing but it kind of make me feel like I know people some times.

You got the smokes behind you though and a big test there with not falling back on them so thats one big plus... one step at a time, we can climb up together :)

Hi Sennie,
So sorry to hear about the accident, and so glad to hear you are relatively ok. And kudos to you for hanging in with the vaping. I was hit by another car about two months ago now and it left me with an injury that has taken some time, and physio, to come near being right. Still vaping though. :) I'd say hang in there but I know you are, and do. Hopefully 2013 is the silver lining year. :toast:

Yep, we are just regular folks trying our best to get by. We have 1 daughter left at home ... sometimes... lol She' s 17 so she' s gone more than she's home but she does still occupy space here. lol
Maybe the car being gone is the silver lining although every time I get in my daughter's little Mazda it feels like a tin can on 4 fast wheels with a moped engine attached, I miss my Camry. Next car is probably a late 90' s caddy. it's going to cost us a fortune for fuel!! lol

It definitely could've been much worse, and I'm glad it wasn't. Way to hang in there Sennie. Hopefully your tank comes in soon as well as a new car.
yep it could have been MUCH worse and defiantly hoping the tank comes quickly!! lol
