dripping is the act of "dripping " several drops of juice onto the wick of the atty every so often to keep the wick wet. Since the RDA ( rebuildable Dripping Atomizer) doesnt have a tank, you need to reload juice after several hits.
Advantages:
pretty good flavor
heavier vapor production ( with proper build )
easy to change flavors ( no tank to empty)

Disadvantages:
need to carry a bottle with you
need to reload after several hits
potential for a dry hit can occur more often ( if your not keeping track)
dripping while driving can be a challenge sometimes....

The flavor/clouds that come from dripping can't be beaten by any tank that I'm aware of. I'm a flavor junkie but I like the extra clouds that come from dripping also.

Some RDAs are better for flavor and some are better for clouds. Generally the smaller the chamber, the better the flavor.

Dripping is less convenient than tanks unless you have a bottom feed system. It is a mod that feeds juice from an on board bottle through the bottom of the RDA to the wicks.

I recently bought one of these cheap ones that works surprisingly well.

Dripping is easy. It tastes great. Makes huge clouds. No issues with your tank not wicking a higher vg juice. No issues with leaking tanks. You can change flavors on a whim. You can take direct lung hits and enjoy dense clouds of delectable flavor. You can often change out top caps for wider bore if you feel like it. Many RDAs let you change out AFC rings to match your mod.

With a wide bore cap, dripping and driving is easy. You don't even have to take your hands off the wheel. Just take a dropper full of juice and squirt down the wide bore cap. Nothing to take apart. I have a 10 minute drive to work and can vape constantly for the whole trip, redripping only once (hands on the wheel and eyes on the road the whole time).

I prefer not to vape anything other than an RDA. I drip everywhere.

I'm with Dave...
My first sum ohm experience was with the Atlantis, and I was blown away.
I then started building on RDAs at .5, and slowly worked my way down.
I now build between .25 and .35, and my Atlantis tanks keep the dust down in my vape drawer...
I'm of the opinion that dripping can't be beat, for flavor and vapor production...my Atlantis tanks can't hope to keep up.
I have super wide bore drip tips on all my setups, so as Dave mentioned, dripping and driving isn't a problem.
Depending on where the job is, my commute is usually between one to two hours...and I drip the whole way.

I just recently just got my first rda (mutation x v4). I always thought it was stupid for people to walk around with a bottle of juice and keep dripping everytime you use it. I was kinda wrong. The flavor is so much better than any tank I've tried. I had 3 different juices I was going to throw out because they didn't taste good in any tank. But when I use my rda they tasted amazing.
I drive a minimum of 3 hours everyday for work. Most of the time I'm in traffic. But for me I leave my rda at home. Even though I wish I could drip and drive but I feel like it could be too dangerous.
But it's great hanging in the back yard or watching tv at night.
