first thing you should get is a multimeter/resistance checker or a mod that does so like a vamo, svd, or evic. Alot of people will tell you not to trust a cheap multimeter, but I use this one from amazonINNOVA 3300 Hands-free Digital Multimeter (10 MegOhm) : Amazon.com : Automotive and its only .2 ohms off. Never use a rebuilt coil that hasn't been tested first. It's bad news bears. What's your current setup?

Greetings Susie, welcome to the forum. I've attached a chart and a resistance calculator showing predicted oHms for given lengths of Kanthol (various gauges).

If you're fairly new to vaping, do you know about battery safety and about being sure to test coil resistance before firing? There are some really good resources on ECF about these topics.
