This works if you replace the pin and grommet with a Reo pin or drilled screw, grommet or o-ring, and a short piece of silicone tubing. The drilled screw will require a couple of nuts to clamp a piece of wire or metal between for the positive connection. The Reo pin will require precision drilling a hole in a piece of metal for positive connection.
