I've been currently using this device: Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit @ EC Transition however I've already replaced the battery 4 times, own 8 batteries and only one of them works at the moment. I've also bought two wall chargers, several extra atomizer thinking I was set. I cannot believe after all money I have a unreliable device.

Can someone steer me to the right kit to purchase? I'm not looking for a heavy vape, but rather something that last longer, and less hassle. I saw on amazon that the Ego T model was only $58.00 which is a decent price however just read where it blew up on someone. Can someone help me out here?

I'm on such a tight budget it is embarrassing. Hub lost his job and I haven't been able to find work myself. Living off his small Military retirement income. Forced to stop analogs so looking for help with my addiction. I'v been smoke free, and sucking on my old ECtransition device even though it isn't working. I figured I can save a few months to afford something no more then 70 bucks

A slightly cheaper option for the KGO - you get the kit, plus a box of five cartos, plus a 36 ml bottle of juice for $45 and free shipping:
Elite Vaporworks KGO Starter Kit with Boge LR Cartomizers - KGO
Not as many color choices as Hoosier and doesn't come with the better-looking "big bore" cones though. I have bought from both vendors and both are rock-solid with fast shipping. Depending on how much you vape, a batt will last you 1-3 days between charges.

With a tank, you only need to refill once every day or three. Something like this:
Elite Vaporworks Vision eGo Clearomizer - 2.1-2.4 Ohm - Smoke - 510 Cartomizers and Tanks

There are lots of different tank/carto models and types; check different vendors. I like the one I linked to although occasionally you'll get a leaky one so buy two. :) They're cheap!

I second the recommendation of the Kgo and the Bolt. E-Power is another good option in the same physical size category. The E-Power does have the advantage of having batteries that only cost $4 - $5 each but are still 3.7 volt, 1050 mAh rated batteries. Ego batteries which are way smaller than the E-Power (or Kgo for that matter), cost $15 - $20 each. That will save you money in the long run. Madvapes also sells the E-Power and the whole kit is only $50:

E-Power Replacable Battery kit!

Here is another E-Power kit that comes with a 5 pack of cartomizers thrown in:

Bullette the Kgo fan here.
You can't go wrong with a Kgo kit
But...
I think newbies need to keep it simple at first so I recommend the kit with Boge cartomizers as mentioned by bodrell.
I haven't tried Johnson Creek's Vea. But I have researched it. I will recommend it also as a good kit for a newbie. Btw their Red Oak line of ejuice is excellent.

Thank you all for the great advice and going to go check each one out. I have no idea what being verified means? I guess time to search this site a little more to find that information out. I kind of like the idea of a tank, refilling all the time I worry about blowing out the atomizer.

Just read how to become verified member and I don't have a pay pal account or the other's. *sigh* other than that, I have no problems.

i've never used a clearomizer, but i believe many (if not all) use an ego connection as opposed to a 510 like the boges do so you might need an adapter. don't quote me on it tho

I am such a newb and have no idea what goes with what. I want a long battery life, probably a Tank because I hate to constantly fill. (unless the tank isn't a good thing and makes device go bad) On Bodrell's links the second link in his post, that is a clearomizer not the entire kit that I need right? See I'm lost.

So if I buy the Elite Vaporworks KGO starter Kit with boge LR cartomizers, I can buy the ego clearomizer (which is out of stock) and put it on the elite vaporworks one? From Bodrell's posted links.

What I'm saying is link 1 goes with link 2? Sorry for being such a newbie

Lera
Yes you can use a clearomizer on your Kgo. They sound great in theory & I admit they do look handsome.
But for those of us who are beginners, we don't need to get too frustrated with the mechanics of vaping just starting off lest we end up quitting & going back to ciggies. That is why many folks recommend the cartomizers. & Boges are good quality.
Go ahead & try out the clearomizers...just keep in mind that there have been reports of leaking & plastic burning taste.
But if you've got some cartomizers in stock as a simplified backup vaping method, you won't get all frustrated if the clearomizer doesn't work out for you.
Just a suggestion.
Keep comin back. We're glad you're here.

Hi there! Bullette has it right, the kgo and ego have the same threading so when you are shopping around and see a cartomizer or a clearomizer or a tank for the matter that says 510/ego connection it will work on the kgo. I have a kgo and the battery life is really quite surprising. Most of my vaping buddies put the ego mega duall coil cartomizer on them. They hold a lot of juice and provide a nice level of vapor. Fill them up and simply screw them on. They are very reasonably priced as well... I ordered my last bunch from madvapes Clear eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, Flat Tip

It is overwhelming, I'll admit.
However, it is way better than a cigarette!

You've come to the right place! The people in this community are a cut about the average!

Good luck! :)

Here is myself and my girlfriends journey. I started with a basic 510 kit with clearomizers. However i noticed that ivaped too much for those little batteries and that the clearomizers were hit or miss. I find the clearomizers a PITA to refill especially with high VG. So, i upgraded to a ego 1000mah passthrough with a 3.5ml dct and tip. I love it.

I gave the 510/clearomizer to my girlfriend and she loved it until the clearomizers started acting up. To make a long story short, We upgraded her atomizer to to a tank atomizer and she is now really happy. She flls her own juice in the tanks and they last longer than the clearomizer.

Blagh blagh blagh i know..... lol...... So what do i recommend? Google: 510 tank starter kit and shop around for the best prices.

Good luck....I hope you find what your looking for. :)

The problem there is the OP is tight on cash and the elite vaporworks kit will get her going for a lot less out of pocket cash with a solid kit that is easy to grow with. Whay you show is a solid kit...but IMO the kgo is better here...
