Hey Cybercat!
I've used lots of non-glass tanks with "tank-cracker" liquids and haven't had much issue. However, I did retire those, and except for my kayfuns, I'm all glass now. Re: your apple/cinnamon juice, the cinnamon might not be so overpowering to damage the tanks. I have a few of the glass Aro tanks that I'd used a little ways back. One thing I did find is that I couldn't use the Kanger heads (like from an EVOD or ProTank) because the flange on the coil head won't fit inside the glass cylinder of the Aro. You have to get the appropriate (or at least I had to) Smok heads for that, even though they look identical to the kanger heads.
I have a couple of "eyeglass" cases that I'll stash some things in (since I don't carry a purse, but I often carry my laptop in a backpack.) If you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks, you can get the eGo cases from Fasttech for a few bucks (my B&M charges about $6-7 for them.)

Re: devices, I hate recommending because everyone likes something different. But, I'll jump on the VV3/VV4 & MVP2/MVP20W bandwagon. For most toppers, those are IMHO killer devices. My only issue with the VV3 is the battery life. I constantly have a vape in my hand, so the MVP let me go a lot longer between charges. But, for light carrying, I love my VV3s. For form factor, I did pick up a couple of tube mods (Sigelei Zmax V3 and Vamo V6), but those require separate batteries and charger (so they're not quite as convenient as the VV/MVPs) I always have a charger in my car, so those are the ones that travel with me the most. Only other drawback to the VV3s is that most of my tanks are larger now, and they don't feel as well-balanced on my VV3s.... But, that's just me
