Hey guys/girls !! i am looking to buy my first mechanical mod.. I own both versions of the lava tube from volcano ecigs. i use them when i am home or going some place where i dont have to worry about carrying around a big mod. I also us the inferno kit for when i go to work . i work on a construction site and they are just not doing it for me anymore.. I have decided to buy a mechanical mod but i have no clue what one to buy .. there are so manny lol.. I was thinking about buying the telescope by smoketek. Its cheap and available ... i was also planning on buying a Kick to use with the mod i buy.. So i am looking for suggestion on what you guys.girls think would be a good sturdy first mod ?? it needs to accept different batteries and the kick. the telescope is right around the price rang i am looking for .. So any suggestions from you guys/girls would be great appreciated .. Thanks Anthony

Any specific price range?

There are quite a few nice ones right around the $100 level.

More will get you something that is just magnificently produced and generally very, very easy on the eyes.

Personally I'm staring pretty hard at the new ELA from Super T. Telescopic, adjustable air draw, lifetime warranty, US made.

Also really like the look of the GUSes and they seem priced well.

i personally have no experience with the smok telescope but i have heard good things. i do have the ccts (the chinese clone of the ggts) and the price was not bad at all. i will say getting in to mech mods is a bit of a commitment seeing as they really shine most when using them with a rebuildable atomizer, but if you're willing to put in the effort they're quite a lot of fun to tinker with.if you do go for the smok tele make sure you're getting the second revision that has the vented battery tube. I don't imagine anyone is still selling the original version but it's a pretty serious safety hazard to have a fully sealed battery chamber. i would also note that as far as portability is concerned i rate mechs lower than vv/vw devices. I never bring my ccts anywhere without also having my provari in the glovebox.

well it's like I always say... mods are like cars. You can get a escort to drive across the USA but it's not going to be a great ride and who know's when it's going to break down. Whereas a Mercedes Benz will be a totally different experience. Excellent engineering built to last and perform to the best standards. Cheap mods are just that, cheap mods. They work, but for how long and what kind of performance over the long haul? The forums are full of stories of people going thru 4 or 5 mods before they get a great one. While the experience is good do we all need to make the same mistakes repeatedly? Save and get the Mercedes. In the long run you'll be happier.

THanks a lot.. if i get the smoke telescope they make a stainless steal rebuildable version .. i assume its called rebuildable because your can buy replacement tube and replacement bottom button.. i am also looking into getting into RBAs.. i would buy a provari but they are so expensive.. and i know "you get what you pay for " but i cant afford that yet.. so so if you think a mechanical mod is not a good idea for work ,,what kinda set up would u recommend ??

My price range is around $60 i also still need to buy the kick so i am trying to keep it around $100 -$120 total..any suggestion would ebe great
