Spent all day yesterday going car shopping with my wife
She’s looking for something sporty and fun to drive with a stick shift
Good in the snow
Good MPG
And reliable
Anyone who’s into cars or owns one of the following please feel free to offer any advice
I didn’t test drive any, so my opinions are those of a passenger

Honda Civic SI
This is my kind of car, spacious and comfortable, lacking in luxury but everything just seems tuff, the Hi-rev engine and tight suspension may be a bit too much for an everyday drive, also the dash is a bit odd and pushed back from the driver

VW GTI
This was the most expensive out of those tested
But had the best balance of style and performance

VW Jetta GLI
The only used car tested, but it was fully loaded and really nice, also the cheapest tested (since it was used)
Only concern is that a 3yo German engineered car could turn into a money trap

Mazda Speed 3
Wife said this car drove really nice, also gets High marks in professional reviews along with the Civic and GTI
I hated it though, thought it was uncomfortable and poorly designed, blind spots and the same stupid pushed back dash as the civic only even more ridiculous

Mitsubishi Lancer
Originally went to test an EVO, but I didn’t know it had a $45k price tag
The styling was cheap, ugly, and uncomfortable, but the wife said the handling was smooth and overall she liked it

Subaru Impreza WRX
The only car we didn’t test drive
Like an EVO, it’s known for being tricked out into a rally car
So sporty performance and good in the snow
But it has the worst MPG @ 21
