Looking to get back into vaping, is this a legit deal?

hey everybody. i'm looking to get an ecig again since i used to have one but sold it to a friend. now that i quit smoking {MODERATED} i've been craving something to smoke, and am interested in getting one that isn't too expensive (i spent like 80 dollars on my last one). i found this one on ebay and i just want to make sure it looks decent/legit before i buy it since it's pretty cheap. i don't need top notch equipment i just want something basic (the one i used to have was a volcano inferno with a tube tank/cartomizer).
Ego 1100 mAh Double Battery Vaporizer Starter Kit 4X CE4S Brand New USA Seller | eBay
if there's something wrong with this one it would be cool if you could recommend a pretty basic one that's under like 40 dollars.
thanks!

Looks like, that is pretty much same as this one.
DV eGo-T Starter Kit - 1100mah
or something similar
Mini eGo Kit

If you aren't sure of quality on eBay, you can buy from established online vendors. I bought stuff from both DV and VA and never had any issues. Also, you can check their thread on ECF. Good luck

The kit doesn't look bad. The batteries are probably a generic ego battery (a class of battery, not a brand name), and the juice tanks are also a generic clearomizer. The price isn't bad either.

However, getting a brand name (Vision ego or Joytech ego or Evod ego) battery is much better than a knockoff no brand battery. The knockoffs are hit or miss; they could stop working after a week.

The heating coil heads in clearomizers are only designed to last 2 - 4 weeks. It would be better to purchase clearomizers which have replaceable coil heads. Name brands like Innokin iClear 16, Aspire CE5, Aspire Vivi Nova, Vision Vivi Nova, Kanger Evod, etc all have replaceable coil heads available from $2 - 3 each.

I know its more than you expected to spend, but this is a much higher quality, name-brand kit:

that's mostly what i was concerned about. i'd rather just spend more money and have it last me a long time and be good quality, so i might just wait until i can afford that one since it's still not a bad deal. what do you think about this one? Innokin iTaste V.V. v3.0 Starter kit
would the extra $20 for the vision spinner one be worth it?
thanks for the quick responses!

That's a very nice battery, too. Innokin makes very good mods. It may have more features than you may need for your purposes though. From your original post, you aren't using this as an alternative to a tobacco habit. You're using this for a replacement for another plant source. You won't need the variable wattage function or the built-in ohm meter. It does have a pass-through function (ability to use it while it is charging, and to use the USB cord to save battery life) which you may find advantageous.

Keep in mind it is only 800 mAh. (approx. 8 hours use between charges). For all the more you'll likely use it, it may last long enough per charge for your purposes. A 1300 mAh ego battery can last 13 hours on a charge, but you won't be able to use the battery while it charges.

(100 mAh = 1 hour use)

Some good advice from Baditude, quite a few of us recommend that MyVaporStore kit.

That Innokin iTaste gets some good reviews from people here, the only real down side is you only get one battery, however it can be used as a passthrough.

I don't think you can wrong with either one, iTaste has more features, the Twist/Spinner kit has two batteries. Both are quality name brand devices with good clearos to go with them.

The ebay deal isn't a bad deal for the price, but no name devices can be hit and miss, and the CE4 is not a great clearo. The thing that bothers me is the claim that their Ego 1100 mah uses the same battery as Joyetech, as far as I know Joyetech doesn't make an 1100 mah Ego, so it would be hard to use the same battery as a device that doesn't exist.

i'm not entirely sure which one of the two i'll get- i like that the itaste is a good 20 dollars cheaper (i'm pretty sure 8 hours of vaping would easily get me through the day), but it would be really nice to have 2 batteries just in case something happened to one. it also looks like the itaste battery might be a bit longer which wouldn't be ideal, but isn't a big deal. it will probably just come down to how much money i have in a couple of weeks.
thank you guys for the advice, i really appreciate it.

The 1st battery I bought was an 1100mah Ego clone on ebay. I then bought a couple 650mah clones from another seller, and realized that they lasted longer than the 1100mah. I told the 1st seller about this, and he sent me out a replacement for free. The new 1 has never once died on me, and I still use the old 1 all the time when I'm charging my other batteries. The 650's were only $10 and they work just fine, going on 3 months now. While it's true that you could get something that doesn't perform well, I don't think it's as "hit or miss" as some would say. Ebay sellers are eager for good feedback and will usually make things right if you're polite w/ them.

if you like this mod you can get a pretty good deal on it and its really well built imo. Smok Tech Bolt 18500 . You can get the Bolt mod with charger and 2 18500 batteries for right at $40.00 hell of a deal for a mod like this. then you can just get a 510 tank or something seperate, you can find inexpensive ones, shouldnt have to spend more than $50 for starters

Just wanted to say I am using the Innokin ITaste vv 3.0 and I love it BUT the battery does not last a whole day. More like 6 hrs....maybe.

I started with the EVOD 650 mah (from vape dojo- I think it was around $35 for the starter kit) and it does last me about 8 hours. I would say I'm a moderate vaper using around 4ml/day of juice.

I know the ITaste is a pass through but it can be somewhat inconvenient for me at times to stand in one place.

after a little more thought, i think i might just by one of the individual vision spinner batteries on the basis that i could just order another one if it was lost or stolen since they're only 20 dollars (i think 900 mah would be enough for me) and then buy a tank/cartomizer/clearomizer seperately. what would you guys recommend for that though? on my old one i had it was just a volcano tank + cartomizers, and that seemed to work fine, but are there any big advantages to using a clearomizer? it seems like there's a lot of options and i have no idea what to get, basically whatever the tank set up is i just want it to be under like 20 dollars.
does this sound like an ok idea or would i be saving a ridiculous amount of money in the long run if i just bought the starter kit?

Whatever you do, just make sure you get at least a FEW clearomizers or tanks. They'll all have issues from time to time, and you don't wanna be relying on just ONE, if it starts leaking or something. I just got 8 CE4's shipped from my guy on ebay for less than $10 total. I've had great luck w/ those, rotating a bunch of them constantly w/ different flavors. I'd message some of the sellers you're looking at, and ask them how much it would be to throw a few extra clearo's on your order. That's what I did, and I get the best deal that way. You should be good w/ 1 battery to start off, just gotta stay on top of charging it. I'd definitely recommend getting a 2nd battery at some point tho, even if it's just a cheap 650mah. That way you'll never have your vaping disrupted if the 1 dies. I even have a 3rd battery now that was just gonna be a back-up, but I still use it all the time when I'm charging my 2 main ones.

what do you think about just getting a volcano vapor tank + cartomizers? the tank i had on my old ecig lasted me for like a full year before i got rid of it, and in that case i would be able to just buy it from my local store for like 20$ with a cartomizer or two. clearomizers just seem so complicated and my old cartomizer set up was really simple and i rarely had problems with it
they are all compatible with each other right?
edit: or if i was to get one from myvaporstore.com, what kind of tank would you recommend that would be compatible with cartomizers? (as well as cheapest ideally)

I have no advice/experience w/ cartomizers or the other stuff you mentioned. I will say that the clearomizers I use (CE4's) are pretty much fool-proof tho, definitely not complicated. I've heard they've gotten better in quality recently, and I've only been vaping a couple months, so I dunno how they used to be. But I've had such success w/ them and feel like for the price you can't beat 'em.
