Hey I've been using a VV ego for a while now and I'm wanting to move up to the super cool world of mods.

I don't have any 'mod batteries' or a charger or anything along those lines, so a full kit is a must.

I've been looking for a while now and this seems to be the cheapest yet good full kit.

BlackWidows VAMO (Full Kit) - Advanced Kits : Black Widows Vapor .com

Now I don't care if it's a VAMO or another mod, but I am looking for a full kit at that price point (or lower).

I appreciate any input on this!

A couple of things about that kit - the Vamo shown is the black chrome (or gunmetal). Its nice, and I have one, but some people have found the finish wears off quite quickly, which doesn't happen with the standard chrome or stainless steel. I have a standard chrome too.
Secondly, I wouldn't use the batteries in that kit. They look like no name unprotected Li-ions and I wouldn't trust them. For this mod you need IMR batteries which have safer chemistry and can handle high drain.
So the kit is $60.

You can get a Vamo from Exhale Vapors for around $40 using discount code 30PercentOff when checking out here:
VAMO Variable Volt/Watt APV V2

You can get two 18650 batteries from RTD Vapor here:
Batteries : Efest IMR 18650 Button Top
They will come in at just under $17 total for both.

You need a good charger like this:
Battery Chargers : Xtar WP2 II
That's $20

All up for Vamo, batteries and charger - $67. And much better quality batteries and charger than that kit. Also safer.

Glad I came across this thread as I was looking at a Vamo as well. I went to Exhale Vapors site and noticed this at the top; "Please use 40PercentOffECF at checkout for 40% off your total price!" I think I'll be ordering one tonight.

One question though, is there any point in getting the Pila charger over the Xtar you have listed?

quick edit:
For some reason I can't select the color from their site so there's no way to add it to cart. :/

I have heard only great things about the Pila. I use a Nitecore, no spacers required like I hear you need for the Xtar and not as expensive as the Pila. I think all 3 are pretty popular around here.
