Looking to order a VK, but what to get?

I must say, I'm very excited to see what people are saying about the VK.

But now I need to decide exactly what to get from Steve! :shock:

If someone would be willing to help me decide what I need based on battery/cartomizer life etc - I'd sure appreciate it!

I have a 3-4 analog commute in the morning, and the evening. (in normal people time, that would be 1 hour, lol)

I'm currently enrolled in school, and would like to not be tied to the power grid (so I probably need a PCC). It's 8 straight hours, Mon-Fri.

My analog of choice is a Camel Light, and trying to cut back, I can smoke 15 a day. If I had my choice I'd probably smoke 40-50 a day, as I love the act and the oral fixation, all that.

Here is what I'm thinking of getting;

1) The VK ulitmate kit:
2 BATTERY'S- (One silver, one blue so I can tell them apart)
1 USB BATTERY PASSTHRU
1 CARRY CASE-(black)
1 VK USB CHARGER
1 VK Wall CHARGER
1 BOX OF 5 VK CARTOMIZERS-(Coffie)

5 Camel Cartomizers 8mg concentration.

I was also thinking of getting 20ml of flavorless 18mg juice. From what I've read the 8mg Camel might not be enough kick. I'm guessing after those 5 are done, I'll probably be off on the world of flavors.

Any thoughts? Baring the fact that I like toys and gizmos, do I need everything in the kit? Is that carry case a charging case, or just a box? Would two fully charged batts get me through my current day (min 10 hours from home)? I don't know about the pass through either. I spend some decent time infront of a computer per day, but that's at home. I need to make sure I can get through my 'work' day without having to worry about external power (unless they have pneumatic pass throughs, I'm going to a trade school :lol:)

and yes you'll need something to carry ur carts and extra batteries on the go so the carrying case is a must well for me anyways... And the pass thru is a great idea so when ur at home and on the computer you don't have to worry about running down ur on the go batteries.. so like i said great choice... These e-cigs really do work from the day i got my first e-cig i never wanted another analog cig... Great invention if i do say so myself :)

Hey cowboy fisherman!

I would honestly suggest getting the ultimate ultimatum kit. You get everything that the ultimate kit has plus the charging case. The case that comes with the ultimate kit is just a case that will hold 2 batteries and 2 carts, no charging capabilities. This probably would last you a full day depending on how much you will vape, but.......

With the ultimatum you will have absolutely everything that you would need to get you through a whole day and then some.

If you spend a lot of time in front of the computer, the USB Pass is a godsend.

My theory is that if you don't buy the ultimatum kit from the get-go, you will probably end up buying everything that comes with it eventually anyway. Might as well take the extra $20 plunge from the start.

Welcome to the frenzy, you're gonna LOVE the VK!

I would probably also order a few extra carts and a couple of sample bottles of juice. Can't help you too much on strengths, cuz everyone is different. I'd say order a couple different strengths and decide which you like best. 16-18 is about perfect for me and I used to smoke about 15-20 analogs a day but like I said, everyone is different.

How many batteries can the VK-PCC hold/charge? Can it hold any cartomizers? There isn't a picture of it open, or a description! :mad:

The case that comes with his kit is just a case, so I think I should get one to be safe.

CF,

The PCC will charge 4 batteries from empty to full. But best not empty the batteries all the time. Also pickup a car adapter so you can use the passthrough in your car.

I've been playing with the cart for a while now, and I did have the ultimate ultimatum selected, but didn't realize it contained a PCC.

Okay, so here is what I have in my cart;

1 Ultimate Ultimatum kit (I'm thinking 5 24mg coffie cartomizers)
1 5 Pack of camel cartomizers (only have 8mg)
10% off = $100 w/ shipping.

I think between the two extremes I should know what mg to order next time around.

I already have the car adapter, I'd already been thinking about that!

Just a few more questions;

How do you charge the PCC? Does it use the standard laptop power cord the wall charger uses, or does it use USB like the open "mini PCC" seems to?

How long do the automatics take to charge, and what is the range that they last (under heavy use, for a "worst case" scenario)?

I'm thinking that if I leave one batt plugged into the wall, and PCC plugged into the laptop. Then in the morning I'll have a fully charged batt and PCC. Use the "wall batt" for the morning routine, while the PCC is charging the other (presumably dead) battery. Then the pass-through can be an "emergency" option in the car, or used at house. This should keep all the components rotating and being charged/drained regularly so no batteries die per lack of use.

And one last concern, what is the cut off for the VK automatic batts? Does anyone have issues with these? The manual ultimate ultimatum is the same, but I really like the idea of autos (but they often get poor reviews). A primer puff seems like a small price to pay for something closer to a real smoke.

And finally, does Scottie work weekends? I don't want to wait for shipping. :lol:

I can answer the auto cut off question. I used to smoke full flavor cigs to give you an idea of what I was used to. I have hit the cut off a few times but it is really pushing the limits of what I can handle for a "drag" I haven't found myself wanting more so I will be sticking to the auto... Hope this helps!

Ultimate Ultimatum is the way to go. The PCC will carry 1 battery (charging) and 2 cartomizers. You charge the case through your USB on the computer (takes about 4 hours for full charge) Then it will charge 4 or 5 batteries on the go so you can just rotate batteries as you need. The regular carrying case will carry 2 batteries and 2 cartomizers. For long drives, a passthrough would be great.

The auto batteries on the VK work great! I ordered a manual just to compare (I was used to manual from the 510 I had) but the auto is just fine I think. When I get my manual batteries on Monday I will let everyone know how they compare in my humble opinion... ;)

I believe Mark said in his video that there is a cut off on the manual batteries of about 5 seconds, but he shows a way to cheat that. On the manual passthrough there isn't a cut off (at least not that he could find and if there was it was longer then 10 seconds)

Congrats on choosing the VK. You are going to love this baby!

Just to let you guys know, if you get a car adapter make sure it is 5V and at least 1000maH, Steve got some car adapters in, but they were only 200mah, enough to charge a battery, but not enough to power the passthru. We should be getting some in soon that will work, but we don't have them yet. Just an FYI.

As an FYI for those looking for an adapter - I have been searching forever and manufactures don't seem to want to post the specs online. I may actually have to leave my house to continue my shopping. The idea of leaving my house was of huge concern since I have had my passthrough surgically attached to my lips. It is rough dragging a laptop everywhere you go and the cable on the PT is only so long...:D

That said, I did find this battery pack, it is small enough to fit in your pocket and enables in-bed use of the passthrough (yes I confirmed this last night) and the PT cable is long enough for me to put the battery in the storage section next to the driver's seat in my car. Now I can venture from my home and breathe (vape) easily.:p

I think you need to ask Steve to invent the VaporKing gas mask that you can simply strap on and wear 24/7! Then you can vape in your sleep! Of course, if you get one, I will have to also. Can't let you get one up on me! ;):D;)

I love it! It will certainly help in our bid to take over Chicago...afterall, soldiers distracted by vaping withdrawal are of no use to the army...:lol:
