with that in mind, a 20w mod should be more than enough to push just about any clearomizer on the market today.
I think there is an iPV mini out, or out soon too.
the iStick seems to have a lot of popularity and you can pick one up for around $40 (101vape.com)

Rebuilding isn't all that bad, but no judgement here if you don't want to mess with it. Coils usually last a month or more and rewicking is stupid easy. Bottom feed box mods take the hassle out of dripping or having to tear down your tank to change the wick. Just some food for thought :)

I have an ivp3 and its awesome i must say but really if i would have waited i would have got the siegelei 150 watt and its cheaper also. I may get it anyway being it has the magnet battery cover and yes prob wont ever use that much power but its nice to have it available. I made a 10 wrap coil of 24 gauge kanthal thats alot to heat up even for bing .5 ohm dual coil so had to up it to around 75 watts to perform around the same as my .3 dual coil on my mech. I know the ivp3 can. Not push more than 40 amps and i used two purple efest in it and it was perfectly fine really wouldnt need any batteries than that. I say if you plan on getting into building coils get something that can push at lease 50 watts.

Not to side track this thread too much but since Robert brought it up:
Personally I don't see the need to build that low or use 24ga on a regulated mod. the reason people started building lower was to get higher wattage out of mech mods. with voltage fixed between 3.5 & 4.2v you have to lower resistance on a mech mod to get to your higher wattage. Building lower you use less wire so you want a larger wire with less resistance to give you more surface area on your coil. Regulated mods take the need for low ohm thick wire away by allowing you to put higher ohm coils and run them at higher wattages as regulated mods boost the load from the battery to achieve the desired wattage. I'm no electrician, nor do I play one on TV, that's just my understanding of ohms law and how it relates to vaping.

If you are unsure about rebuilding, a smaller 20w mod would be a bit more portable. However the 50+w box mods usually carry 2 18650s, so even if you don't use the full wattage range you have twice as much battery life. The drawback to that is I haven't seen onboard charging for the dual 18650 mods, and I like to charge and vape :) 20w is plenty to get started rebuilding if you ever decide to try it, and at $40 for the device its half the price of most of the bigger guys. I haven't looked into 50w mods, so I'm not sure about those - may be worth a look!
Bear in mind with removable batteries you will have to purchase batteries separately for $8-10 each and a battery charger for around $20 (buy good quality authentic batteries/charger from reputable sellers: RTDVapes, Illumination Supply, Sun Vapers, and I'm sure there are others - not eBay or amazon unless you know the vendor.. there are a lot of clone batteries out there marketed as the real thing).

well im going to get the kanger sub ohm tank as and its recommended at 25 watts so im probably just going to get the ivp3 or maybe the ivp2 now i just need help with what battery and charger to get

Your quicker than me :)
Charger: Nitecore i2 or i4 chargers are good, I've been happy with my i4 for the last year.
I bought an xtar 2bay charger not to long ago to charge on the go as the i4 is bulky

for higher wattages get sony vtc4's or samsung 25r's. they have higher wattage ratings. the LG HE2 batteries are also good, but their continuous amp rating is 20w as apposed to sony which is 30 and the samsungs that are 25(?).
Again, go through a reputable vendor.

Hope this helps!

My whole point with still going sub ohm on a regulated mod is because i was still using thicker wire just with more wraps to get my surface area and also i only had 24,28, and 30 gauge and hadnt been able to build what i felt was an acceptable coil with anything but the 24 and if i would use the 28 or 30 it would certainly be very high resistance and then the mod wouldnt fire. It wasnt till about 2 days ago that i was able to twist and braid the thinner wires to make them usuable for me but its still easier to do 10 wraps of 24 guage and get alot of surface are than it it to twist a couple strands of wire then wrap a coil. I know enough to keep my self interested in vaping and off cigarettes and though im fairly new i have done a ton of research and figured out the rest on my own.

Thats vaping - learning online and figuring out the rest as you go :)
Twisting the wire cuts the resistance in half, and it would take some tinkering to get your vape back with that thinner wire. I totally understand being comfortable with your vape and not wanting to mess with it, All I was saying is it was Necessary to go low to get higher watts, not that you can't do it.
Vape safely what works for you and don't smoke.. I think thats everyones goal :)
