I guess I'm still missing something.

The batteries cost less to replace. That's cool. Not so cool if the threads wear out and the whole thing has to be replaced

Could it be because I totally don't understand the whole ohm/wattage thing or care to? I don't want to do math or use tools to build stuff, I just want to vape. Are these mods meant for people who are really into all the math and rebuilding, cuz it seems that way. That said, if I can have a better vaping experience with no increased fuss and muss, I'd be down for that. I'd just like to know why it's better.

See my reply to ur why ask why question for that answer. and i dont do watts, i still do volts, just like the twists.

In other words, it will fire your tank, atty, clearo, carto much more smoother and cleaner, providing a much better vape.

All of these entry level mods are built to last a year, maybe a bit more, often they last less. They cost very little and are made to be disposable throw-away mods. But, they do get the user used to a bigger mod, and dealing with basic mod maintenance so that they are better prepared for the top end mod they will get in the future. My mod progression went Blu, eGo twist, Lavatube, Vamo, eVic, ProVari. You don't need to go through all of those steps, but I did and I am glad I had a few other mods prior to getting my ProVaris.

You don't get a device built to last a lifetime unless you buy a top-end mod. But it is nice to have a entry mod to make the transition.

I have two ProVaris, and I can tell you that they will be with me the rest of my vaping journey. The threads are milled steel made to last forever. The device is serviced by a company with a proven track record of taking care of their customers for life. Most of the time, the (rarely needed) service is performed by Provape for around 20 bucks, even when it is caused by owner neglect or carelessness. The device is generally mailed, repaired, and back to the owner in about a week. I don't own a REO, but I understand that the build quality and vape quality of this mod is similar to the ProVari.

Now, you pay a premium for this type of device, but, I find that it is a value when compared to the disposable mods I first owned. To each their own. Happy Vaping!

FYI, I still use my eGo twists to this day! They are light, simple, easy to take on the go and I don't fret if something happens to one. I hope I never outgrow my eGos!

Ok, I've hung out on the fence long enough. I'm hopping over to check out the grass. Am I allowed to ask where you buy your hardware? I'd like to know I'm spending money with a reputable place and not being ripped off - I also don't want to wait for shipping from halfway around the world.

Any suggestions as to which mod, batteries (jeez, I have to figure out if I need button or flat too?) etc is much appreciated. Remember, I'm looking for EASY. Better, but no math or building required.

I think im gonna go with the VAMO v2 from the fasttech website because I can get it pretty cheap with batteries and a charger.

do some checking before buying the full kit from fast tech. your batteries may never make it out. it's a recent "customs" issue.

that being said, have you thought about the innokin itaste vv v3?

Well i got my first vamo v2 and batteries from varitube.com. and bought an efest LUC charger from exhalevapors.com the total for that initial setup was about 90bux that was before i found the kits at fasttech. Yeah its a little longer wait but eh, it had almost been a year with twists. Try amazon for the charger, probably cheaper than where i got mine but i wanted a good one and wanted it now!! lol. Just get button tops if you go with the vamos. you will be fine

If you are gonna run it in the long mode(tube extension...longer lasting) you will need efest aw imr 18650 batts, in short mode(no extension tube) 18350.

I bought the full kit (50bux) from fasttech the second time. got good panasonic batts with that kit but the nitecore charger was junk. They are known as a good charger but i guess there is a bad batch going around and i got one. Batts and charger got extremely hot, luckily i checked it after only a half hour!! Still waiting on that replacement charger from them btw, thank goodness i already had a good charger. Only took 8 days from them in china on that kit. third one was from fasttech too and was just the v2 body. no kit 8days. v4 was from free-cigs.com just the body this time too.

This guide on mod batteries can help you. It's of no use for the iTaste MVP, because it uses a 3 day built-in rechargeable battery much like an eGo has. But the other mods all use Lithium-class batteries that are removeable and rechargeable. Use of the correct batteries in mods is essential for your personal safety.

I've gone through all the basic "cheep" MODS and now I've gotten me a ProVari in the clearance at ProVape E-Cigarettes: Buy Electronic Cigarettes & Smokeless Cigs. I have every type of mod batteries out there. first thing I did with the fasttech batteries was ditch them. The samsung ICR 2600mAh are great, the efest are great, the AW are GREAT, the trusfire protected are great. the ultrafire are great. as you can see I have all sizes of MODS. I'm with Bellerine on this comment but I inexperienced. Is the 510 to 510 converter just to keep the threads safe you don't have to replace battery mod as much and you just buy another 510 to 510 converter?

EDIT: Guess I should read all unread posts before responding to first unread post. Looks like you guys are on top of answering that.

Yes it seems some have issues with the vamo threads, so they use a 510 to 510 adapter to save the threads and just take the tank off the adapter time and again. i have found that not to be the case 4x. All my threads are fine. although the v4 does seem to go down further than the v2 causing a tight draw that im not particular fond of.
