Thanks for all the replies!
I am looking for something with a replaceable battery/batteries.
I'm assuming the Ego's don't get a whole lot of love around here?
I don't hate my Ego's, but I can understand why they'd be called throwaways. I mean they work, for the most part, but I'm not getting the "this is enough to make me not want another cigarette" from my current setup. It temporally "holds me off" like over a weekend, but comes nowhere near the satisfaction of having a cigarette.
I have a brother in-law that has been vaping for years, but didn't really quit cigarettes for good until he got whatever his setup is now. He's got a box and a one of those "tanks" that I've seen him filling quite often.
Well, for some, the Ego is all that is needed. It's not that I dislike them.. I still use one from time to time. But like you've noticed, they can be limiting. I believe you can quit using an ego battery. I pretty much quit using an ego, but like you, I still felt something was missing. It wasn't until I got a variable voltage/wattage device that pretty much put the last nail in the smoking coffin so to speak.
I personally think a 30 watt device would be all that's needed to fully quit. It's not that I recommend vaping at 30 watts, but if you feel like you need more, you have that option. You don't with an ego.
Now, I mentioned Watts, and you're more familiar with volts from the Ego. Let me explain the difference.
Think of the all too familiar water pipe analogy. Volts is the water pressure in the pipe, Amps is the size of the water pipe, and ohms is a resistor in the water pipe. Let's say the Ohms is a water wheel.. it will provide a resistance to the water. You're used to saying if you apply so much pressure to the wheel, it will turn so fast. If your pipe was too small, with high pressure,it might work the wheel too much. But, if you raise the pipe size, the water will flow slower from the pipe, but it will have more force since more water is moving the wheel. Watts is like saying you want the water wheel to spin so fast... It will change the volts accordingly to get the desired result.
Same with Ecigs.. if you set it for a certain watt, it will determine what volts to set your ecig to in order to get those watts. Why is this a better setting, well, it may or may not be for you. I like to use watts, because coils tend to creep up in the ohms during it's wear. The wattage setting will raise the volts to get the same results I am asking for.
On an ego type, they mainly can just change the volts. While the coil is being worn more and more, you will have to slowly raise the voltage to get the same effect as when you first started. The box mods can change the voltage, or wattage.
Sheesh, A tagline on someone else said they learned more about electricity through 1 year of vaping than their entire school years.. I tend to agree with them.

It's not as hard as it may seem. Just keep in mind, more watts = more power available.
