I'm getting a headache trying to figure all this out.. Guess I'm still too new to this stuff.
Basically, I currently have a 510, and am looking at picking up an Ego. I'm just having trouble deciding if the Ego or the Ego T is the better choice. Also, I'm under the impression that the only difference between the two is the atomizer and cartridge - could anyone verify this for me?
Lastly, compared to the 510, does the Ego produce substantially more vapor, or is it about the same?

Um not sure how much this will help so my apologies if I am repeating stuff you already know or if someone already sent this info cause it took me so long to finish bc I got a phone call halfway through lol

510 parts , ie attys , cartos , will work with the ego , so any of that you still have would still be usable

The ego has a much better battery life vs the 510

Personal opinion I like the ego better than the 510 mainly based on battery life , not really sure on vapor production

I guess according to all the things I've read vapor production has a lot to do with the eliquid you use too

So probably not much help... I have an eGo passthrough that I use the attys and tanks with , I do suggest the soft gasket tanks over the hard ones if you go that route , less hassle in my opinion , no lil hanging chad thing to try to get off and the soft creates a better seal

If you don't absolutely have to have the Joye brand, I would get the KGO it is an EGO clone but better IMHO. Got mine from Hoosier e cig supply. Starter kit is $42.00 for the 1100 mah batteries. These are really good. I have both the 900 and 1100 and much prefer the 1100. See the videos on the Hoosier site for voltage explanation. The 1100 with a 2.5 ohm smoketech cartomizer is the perfect combo for me. Your tastes may vary.

Thanks for the help. Between your post, and a friend's advice, I've settled on the EgoT.
Only part that sucks now is waiting... The company I was going to order it from is down for vacation until the 14th I believe... Long wait unless I want to pay extra with someone else.. Must have patience....

Don't know your cost at the other place but I'd highly suggest getting a kit that has the B type/cylinder attys and tanks - read some other eGo t threads in general forum/model specific/eGo - this is a good vendor:

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/kit-ebt-all.htm

And the new soft caps really help with the leaks others have reported:

Had the same dilemma as you when I started and was very happy when I got my ego-t type B system from cignot.com. I find it does produce more vapour and flavour than the 510 atty that came with my 510 kit. The ego-t battery lasts so much longer than the 510 battery and was one of the main reasons that I went with it. The extra vapour and flavour was just a bonus! :)

The ego-t type b tanks can be fussy at times and the wick does need adjusting and the atty does need cleaning occasionally to maintain peak performance. If you find that a bit too much then you can always get cartomizers that are disposable and much more hassle free, I've been using the regular mega cartomizers and also more recently the ego mega dual coil cartos which are very easy to fill and hold a vast amount of juice but also make your PV much bigger.

As noted above by Kent C, I would also highly recommend getting some soft caps for your tanks as they help greatly in preventing leaks but keep the hard caps for when you need to reseat the wick spike after cleaning.
