Just thought I'd throw up a picture of the stamping on the Cisco LR 306. It's not the best picture but the stamping is so small! DSC01575.jpg

I think that if you click to enlarge, you can barely make out the Cisco Ltd LR 306.

i looked at several websites posted here where people got their cisco 306's - none state specifically 'cisco' that ive seen. is it safe to assume all joye 306's are ciscos?

No. In fact, just the opposite. If it's not advertised as "cisco approved", then assume it's a Joye LR 306 atty.

I'm pretty sure the only two places they're available now are Volcano and Cisco's own website.

Anyone else who still has them, is just selling the ones still in stock.

Firhill's dead on... avidvaper is the only place that carries cisco' now, other than any who have old stock left. He does have a good deal with two 306's and a drip tip for 20 bucks, shipping is cheap.

Be warned... these atties spoil you. I don't vape regular LR 510's on my riva any more. Only these. Also if you do decide to get them, make sure you follow the initial directions. The carry no primer initially so require breaking in carefully. NEVER dry burn. They'll last a long, long time if you keep them wet, but if you dry it out too much and burn it, you'll never get rid of the taste... don't make an $8 mistake, keep them wet and enjoy the best vape possible on a 3.7v :D

thanks! that helps a lot.

do normal drip tips work with the 306? or would i need to purchase one of the cisco drip tips? i'm currently using a metal one from Super T on my 510 LR.

You should really enjoy them. Just be sure to keep them juiced up (3 drops will net you about 6 drags) and do not run them super hot. Meaning give them a few seconds to cool between vapes and prior to dropping liquid on them. I know this will b e difficult once you get the first hit off one but it will extend the life considerably. I know I chain vaped a few to death in 24 hrs when first starting with them. Enjoy and happy vapes

Yep..you did the right thing.

The "normal" 306 DT's are straight. They'll just crack/split due to the taper on the cisco atty.
The XL tips help a lot if you find (like me) that the heat on your lips is too much.

As Bootsand said, have patience with the break-in period, keep 'em wet and you won't be dissapointed.

ETA: The XL tips also extend the tip out of an eGo cone enough to make it the same length as a 510 atty/tip.

With the standard length DT on an eGo, you lips are on the cone and covering any air gap there is between cone and tip.

I have found the nHaler colored and twisted 306 DT's to work great. Yes they are a little pricey but I have 4 of them and the 1st one I bought about three months ago still works perfectly and fits the Ciscos nicely. I do not know if it was a fluke but the Blue colored ones have a weird taste so if you go this route I would suggest the ones that are mostly white or black in the color scheme.

100%. I will never go back to my 510 LRs for dripping now that I have been baptized into the church of Cisco 306. The extra juice consumption (which I only assume is the case, I haven't really noticed it much) is totally worth it.

Avid's XL drip tips are also very nice, offering a very nice mouth feel (for me anyway). I wish he offered more colors than just white and black though.

hey guys.. i got my 1.5 cisco 306 lr's. i followed the instructions on the site (4 or 5 drops directly on the bridge/wick when you first get it, let it sit for 60 secs, 1 to 2 more drops then hit) im used to taking really long draws with my joye 510 lr's.. but ive found out with the cisco you cant really take long draws otherwise you get the burnt taste.

anyway, my question is (ive only been using it a day) but the throat hit really isnt there at all for me. if i put on my 510 lr, long draw and bam throat hit. im making sure to juice it fairly well and not flood it or anything. im using a puresmoker 3.7v protege.

do you guys get strong throat hits from your cisco?
