Currently I am using an ego-t, while I have been fairly happy with it I am looking to upgrade. Here is what I am looking for in a new system:

- more vapor
- stronger flavor
- I like the ego cartridges so something similar that would hold a fair amount of juice
- I dislike cartomizers
- It does not have to be small but I don't want something giant either

I have been reading about the screwdriver type devices and these seem to be good (more power), but I really don't know where to begin. I would like to spend $100 or less on a starter kit.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I am still very new to this and overwhelmed by choices.

I really hate the cartomizers. I tried them this weekend and just could not make them work for me. The vapor felt hot and I did not like that at all. Also, I filled it using the condom method, used a fair amount of juice (it was saturated but not overflowing), and I could taste buring. These are the ones I purchased:

I initially hated cartos, but since everybody here loves them, just stayed with them... now I like them very much. It´s a learning curve I think, also the first fill doesn´t taste that good, but then the flavor improves. The Ego-T gives you lots of flavor, but I saw that it goes thru liquid like crazy! With cartos, I use about half the juice I consumed in the Ego-T.

Right now I´m using CE2´s, Regular Boges and I just tried a dual coil from a tank that I got from madvapes... In order, I like the CE2, then the DC and then the boges. CE2s give great flavor, but requires tinkering to avoid dry hits, and the vapor is hot. The others have polyfill, so you don´t have those problems there. For me, a tank is a must have, if you want to avoid refilling on the go.

I would say give the carts a little more of a chance. Try these ECHO they are only three bucks and hold 3 ml. Will screw right on your eGo batteries. Put about 90 drops in one and let it sit for about 15 minutes then just keep topping up until it dies.

I got two of them on an initial order then went back and ordered a couple dozen more so I can share them around with family and friends. They also look very nice the way they fit on the eGo batts. Also looking forward to trying the Vision Stardust when someone gets it back in stock. I like the looks of it over the funky way the DCT fits and the replacement cartomizers are only $3 for these too. The clear tank is kind of nice to see how much juice is nice and tapered fit is just slick.

If you want to use a tank on your eGo-T, put a tank on your eGo-T!

Those cartos that you are not liking all that well are a completly different animal in a carto tank.

I started with an ego-t about 3 weeks ago. Whilst I like the fact I can pop it in my pocket and go I wanted something that provided more consistency and flavour than I was getting from ego atties. The latter was pretty non existent on anything other than something strong like menthol. I tried some dual coil and 2ohm kangers but found they both gave a faint filler taste so I purchased a lil mama tank and some bottom coil cartos and they made a big difference with no filler taste and lots of flavour. My provari arrived today and being able to dial in the right stable voltage made a massive difference. I'm in vaping heaven with the setup. I think you would be pleasantly suprised if you tried a tank on your ego batteries with say boge or kanger cartos.

A screwdriver is a little stronger than the eGo since it is 3.7 volts and the eGo is only 3.4 volts. Plus you will save money on the batteries. But a true upgrade would be to move up to a good 5 volt model such as the GLV2 (warmer, fuller vapor) or a good variable wattage model such as the Darwin or something similar.

If you did not like those cartos they may have been too hot for you. You could try an 3ohm or higher carto and you will get a cooler vape from them.
