I'll go ahead and highly recommend the Protank II

I don't have one myself (yet) but I do use a Protank I and like most users I was pretty impressed straight out of the box. The Protank CAN get a bit leaky, but it's a well known issue with vaccum pressure and the easiest way to remedy is by keeping the juice topped off whenever possible. Once it gets below half a tank you'll start getting some leaking.

I've heard the Protank II doesn't have an issue with leaking but I haven't tried it myself so I can't attest. One thing I do is when the juice starts getting to half, I'll angle it up so gravity isn't forcing more juice onto the coil when I puff. It's a bit annoying and might look odd, but it works if you don't have time to fill it up.

If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, maybe something like the iClear 30 would suit your needs better. Ironically enough, I've heard it leaks if you overfill it.

Another option would be to skip the wicks altogether and go for a Carto Tank setup. They're well known for not needing to be refilled often AT ALL, typically durable, and probably IMO one of the better systems you can use for simple, on-the-go vaping with minimal mess.

Well, like stated by others, I generally point someone to a kit with 2 Ego Style Twists/Spinners/Winders batteries, 900mah (milliamp hour, rates how much power the battery can store and usage between recharges, higher this number, longer it lasts, average rule of thumb 100mah=1 hour average to moderate vaping time). 2nd the kit should have to atomizing attachments, in the case of a new user, a repairable clearomizer, 1 top coil, the 2nd a bottom coil. This gives the new user a look and test of 1) what temperature they prefer (warmer for top coil, cooler for bottom coil), as well as where in the end their wattage on their coil is to their taste. If you have an android phone, check out the Google Play store, get the Ohm's Law Calculator, getting into Variable Voltage, e-cigs in general you need to have a basic grasp of Ohm's Law, the calculator helps show the relationships of all 4 variables, Voltage, Amperage, Wattage, and Resistance, for VV devices dial it up to your prefered taste in .1v incriments until it tastes and performs just right for you. Then use the calculator to input your voltage set and resistance of your coil, will give you your preferred wattage output, this will be good to know later on if you step up to a larger device, say like a Vamo, ZMax, SVD. Now back to the kit, besides 2 batts, 2 clearos, it will need a charger, and optionally a case, plus a 15mil to 30mil bottle of juice, kit should be no more than 80USD for everything.

Given your last post, if you want to skip a few transitions, and your working schedule, I'd suggest looking at the Innokin MVP Version2, should come with a single iClear30 or 2 iClear16 attachments in the kit. It is a box mod APV, but has many bells and whistles if you want to spend a little more on the upgrade. 2600mah battery, can be used as an external charger for a phone or such in a pinch, Variable Volt, Variable Power (wattage), coil ohm checker, battery indicator, lots of safety features, USB passthrough (can vape on it while recharging it), 510 and Ego Cone threading connections to allow a wide array of attachments, can be carried in a pocket, and Innokin released a belt holster for it you can carry spare liquid and such with it. 80USD max and will last you a long, long while alone, and trial and error of the types of attachments you'll like, the iClears that come with it are top dual coils, but darn nice clearos, the 30 is a 3milliliter tank, the 16s are 1.6mil. I have not had really any issues from my Innokin devices, all solid performers, have the iTaste VV V3, MVP ver1 and ver2, and the SVD, though I prefer Kanger bottom coil units as my attachments, I like the iClears over the Vision and SmokTech Vivi Novas any day when I'm wanting a warmer vape.

If you want something to keep in your pocket, I would not suggest a Protank or iClear30. First, IMHO, they look rather silly on stick batteries. Second they are too large for your pocket.

I would suggest a Protank mini or a T3S or even an EVOD.

I really appreciate all the help still trying to decide and learn about what's being posted. It seems like variable voltage might be the better option. I am looking at something that I don't need to upgrade soon and that has a long battery life. I was looking at this kit that was recommended $24.88 EGO-CE4S 6-in-1 1300mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Electronic Cigarettes Set - black / 2.4. I know the price seems low that's why I was curious if anyone else has experience with this kit or vendor. I also like the kanger but I know its not vg and am worried about battery life with it being a 650 battery. O am looking two keep kit at a decent price point because I will buying two one for me and my fiancee. Money is tight with the wedding planning. I just know I want something better to kick analog cigs to the curb for good want something that with a good menthol juice if I can find one will give me a great throat hit.

Buy it, that 1300a starter kit from fasttech....its a good deal....Fasttech is well known and popular...no rip off..forget 650a batteries...this is a great deal..U can upgrade the CE4's cleraomizer tanks later very cheaply if U want...but the CE4's are good lil clearomizers and been around forever since the start of Ecigs with the CE2, just updated a lil bit..

the price is low cuz U are buying directly from Hong Kong and cutting out the American middle man.....this deal is a no brainer...don't overthink it...no its not a new BMW but its a decent new Chevy Impala..

Well, FastTech is a rising star on the sale market. However, the kit looks nice, it is an assembly of clones of other clones. I don't see where the adjustment for the VV is at, other than the nice little light show display window at the bottom of the batteries, no dial, or discernable adjustment I can tell from the photos of it. Though they are a cheap vendor, some items unless you know specifically the manufacturer of the product offered, can be very, very, sub-standard. I'd shy away from that kit from that stand point alone.

Looking for an Ego Class VV, and if you have the money to drop for a long lasting kit I'd suggest this -

I own this battery since last January..works great...it is a variable voltage 1300 battery..ya push the lil round button 5x real fast (less than 2-3 seconds) to change the voltage...and yes it does change the voltage quite well....its the same as the other kit I posted which were 1100a batteries...both are good, just 1300 is stronger, longer lasting per day than 1100...those 5 lil bottom slots on the batteries just tell what color/voltage U are set at...and these are CE4S, same as CE5s which U can replace the heating coils for $1.05 each instead of buying the entire CE4 clearomizer..

I think people forget why companies call them "starter kits"..they're intended for newbies first starting to want tovape and at a low price..so most starter kits contain simple inexpensive no hassle CE4 or CE5 clearomizers..and later if newbies like vaping they can add Evods,T3's, Protanks or whatever else they want to their collection...and personally I don't like Evods or bottom fillers..they all tend to leak or have problems compared to top fillers, and also they are a cooler less fulfilling vape to me..

I also prefer the top fill clearos. So far i'm in love the T2's- ... what's your fave top fill?

Just my opinion but that is a rip off for almost 90.00 bucks. It's not variable voltage and even though it says 1100mah those bats are really only around 900mah. They don't tell you what the OHM's are on the CE clearo's that come with it, I say this because I find a standard 3.7v ego battery just under performs with anything over 2.0ohm.

I find you have to take more draws to get your juice up to temp before your getting a good vape, that drains the battery's faster and feels underwhelming to my vaping experience if you know what I mean.

Second that. I also recently upgraded from a 808 style ecig, and i am so glad I came here to ECF to ask for advice. EVERYONE pointed me towards a simple VV battery, and the ego-c twist and vision spinners came up highly. I second this one. Big bang for the buck. Also some people say, "I don't want to carry a clunky box around with me all day." Well, the way I see it, it is still smaller than a pack of analogs and I used to have those on me at all times and a lighter to boot.

as far as clearos go, you gotta find what you like from the vaperman, yes you do, you gots to try try try, like the song says, hey, hope you find what you looking for,

man I gots about 20 or so unused wicks,they brand new, that i paid 1.95 for for CE5's, and mini novas, top wicking clearos, so that if you wanna save money, dont overbuy till you find what you like from the vaperman.

From what I've read here, it's not prudent to say that FastTech is a good vendor... It seems that they're actually a portal for many different sub-vendors and manufacturers, and their pages are flooded with counterfeit products, even if they say "genuine." The price is right, but buyer beware...
