I'm sorry all, if I don't know all the proper terminology or brands, etc. I'm pretty new to this (2 mos). My first real vape was an eGo CE6 clearomizer w/ 900 mah twist battery. It's been fine enough, but I'm growing tired of the little things I have to deal with, such as crappy tank build. I constantly have to readjust the tank on the metal bands on the top and bottom because it shifts and results in a loose seal with the mouth piece and the atomizer. I've also had a tank/atomizer crap out on me recently, and it was only 2 weeks old. It can also be tempermental with how the coils need to be positioned, or the position from which I'm vaping. I'm tired of being nickle and dimed to death on these subpar pieces.

So, my birthday is sometime this month, which I'm sure I'll get a little something from my inlaws, wife, or father, or a combination of them all, and I'd like to upgrade my vape experience.

I was looking at a Provari Mini, and chances are if there aren't any other options, I'll probably get one, but I'm also wondering if there are other combos/complete vape kits or mods that may cost less money than dropping 200.00 for the Provari Mini. I wanted as many options as possible before I made a decision.

The only thing is I don't want too big or lunky of a unit. I keep my vape in my shirt pocket, or cargo pocket. Some of the ones I've seen thus far are so big that they look like marital aids LOL

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I highly recommend the Provari Mini. I got a regular size Provari on a blemish sale even though it was not blemished. It does not have the logo on it. Their sales are great and even though they say blemish, it is not easy to find a blemish on them. I got mine for $140. So when you are ready, google Provari blemish and see what they have on sale :) They are really well worth their price and once you get one you are done searching for good. I have had two over a year and a half and had no problems with them whatsoever, and I'm rough with my mods and tend to drop them on my tile floor sometimes.

Edit: Here's a link and right now there's a regular size one for $149. Clearance

Pictures posted on the internet do not do the ProVari Mini justice.
It's actually much smaller than images make it out to be.
I was completely shocked the first time I had one in my hand.
I cant say it enough- it's tiny and built like a tank.
One of those devices you may pay big with the upfront cost but will have to use for years.

In all honesty, this is the device I should've started out with.
Would've saved myself a lot of money.

What should I upgrade from this?

You honestly cannot go wrong getting a provari. Dropped mine in a puddle the other day. Waited for it to dry and the vape is still good. I even throw fairly low ohm rebuildables on it without worrying. If nothing else I'd recommend a mechanical mod and get into rebuildable atomizers. You can get great mods for pretty cheap nowadays. I still always recommend The Zenesis 2 mech mod though it's kinda pricey (not so much as the provari). The provari is a lifetime device though. I've had mine for a while now.

@ Tiktik, I could suggest a ProVari Mini because (IMO) it's just that good.
It would be up to you if the cost were worth it.
You won't find a lot of disgruntled ProVari users and from MANY of the post I've come across, there are many who've sold their ProVaris only to eventually turn around and buy another.
You'll also see there's many people who own more than one.

My first B&M store experience wasn't that great so it's rare that I suggest someone go to one when they have no idea what it is they should buy.
Where I went, they had very little knowedge so all my learning came via these forums and youtube.

Please check out the ProVari forum.
Everyone there will gladly answer any and all questions.

Picked up my 2nd Provari mini yesterday. No reason, other than my 1st mini was lonely. Seriously the best APV out there. By far the best build quality I have seen and the most consistent output of any devices I've used.
