My one year landmark is coming up and I decided to reward myself with a new high end mod. So last night I'm on the computer looking at some options and decided to get a nemesis clone. Well my wife saw me place the order and I can't seem to adequately explain to her why I wanted it. After all it wouldn't function any different then my silver bullet. So she's ...... at me for wasting all that money, all $50 of it. Eventually I got really upset with her and said, " well if you have such a problem with this I can always go back to cigarettes." This did not go over well.

Yikes man. My wife is not exactly ecstatic over ecigs, but she prefers it to cigs. She actually JUST quit smoking completely, but has been good about not using it to complain.

Sometimes its better to just say - "Yeah you are probably right, i'll think twice next time.". Last night my wife said "Hey there is a cloud of vapor in here". I looked around and there was! So i said "OK i'll knock it off for a bit" and things stayed peaceful.

I'm lucky...my wife relies on me to order her juice, mix it up and replace the wicks when burnt.
When she whined about her batteries going dead ( always take a spare with you!) I got her a lavatube, but she think it looks like a dild....(oh!)

Lol I do wonder how it will go for me. I bought my pv just two days ago and I promised I wouldn't be addicted to tweaking with it. Yeah that didn't work, already spent another twenty pounds and the only reason I didn't spend more is because I just pressed the order button before dinner. Luckily, I'm the main bill payer and as long as there is enough to keep everyone happy I can spend my money how u please. Plenty of times i can recall her wasting money. She seems to have an addiction to pushchairs. No kidding, she is on her ninth pushchair in only two years of having kids lol

Money is shared in my house. 50$ Is not that much to me compared to smoking. Every ones situation is different. But darn, I would be concerned if my hubby spent money on some thing that he already has. I am a party pooper!

As said before, it's all about execution. My fiance hates me vaping but definitely prefers it over smoking cigs. I just ordered somethings and she gives me a hard time over getting more juice when I need it and things like that, BUT she loves to shop and having her nails done etc. We both make decent money and both pay bills and things of that sort, just have to remember, you both have luxuries and as long as you don't take hers away she probably wont mess with yours.

Hope you find a peaceful resolution, get her some flowers and hopefully you read what's above... not the same account hehe!

My wife collects cast iron cookware ( spends a small fortune on it) but never uses it since its "collectable"....
if she gives me the stink eye for vape purchases.... I ask her if we need additional support under the house for all the cast iron cookware....

She's upset because I already have a functional ecig, two of them actually, and baught another. See I need to be getting the funds together for a new car so if she sees me spending any unnecessary money she gets upset. The thing I can't seem to explain to her is I'm already putting away half my paycheck, I don't see any reason to cut my rather pitiful spending budget to add more. This purchase fit well within that budget. Honestly if I hadn't bought the new mod that money would most likely have been spent on Wendy's. I'd say this was a better use.

I'd say it could have been much worse.. You could have blown 200+ on a high end device so she should be happy about that. Plus, one year, you deserve something!

Did you explain the one year anniversary of no cigs part to her? She should understand that is an occasion to be celebrated and buying that mod is how you did that. Of course I have no idea how you're going to explain the KFL+, Aqua, Igo-, Trident, Kastle, etc. RDAs you'll buy to sit atop that unit ;-).
