i was thinking more along the lines of the totem throw atomizer plus a cheap generic classic buy from anywhere battery.. or have the loong totems gone out of favour..

so you want to make an extension for a loong cartridge that will facilitate the accommodation of a generic pen-style battery? it would be interesting to try out. loong maintains that his batteries are 4.7 volts though but i cant verify this as for some reason i cannot get a reading using a multi-meter unless i took it out of its shell. i did hack a 3.7 volt mini battery onto a loong cartridge once and it was a tough drag.

your pen-stlye SD looks excellent. i hope i will be able to purchase that add-on soon. still anticipating the arrival at the moment though.

it should be there by now dude.. i shipped it airmail ether thursday or friday of last week..not sure which.. still perhaps not they do say 3 to 5 days.. which perhaps dosnt include the weekends..

i doubt the totem is 4.7 volts thow.. it would be an odd lithium cell if it was..

ps.. out of interest i chopped up my first classic battery today.. it is a bigger cell in there than the 901.. 08400.. 08630.. the last three numbers are the length..

i would guess about 230 mah as opposed to the 901s 130 mah.. kinda half usable.. he he

Does seem like a good idea, adapters to use different batteries with different ecigs. Just a piece of copper with different threads? On an off topic note, has anyone bought from the Loongtotem factory store on ebay?

thats the problem jarvis... "Just a piece of copper with different threads?".. something the great chinese copy anything for fiver dollars gizmo machine could churn out in huge numbers for pence..

now we could make them in small numbers but they would cost $50 dollars.. he he he

buy the product the chinese sell u and it comes cheap.. buy the product u actually want and it comes expensive..

the chinese will never sell converters.. we could.. but not at expected chinese prices.. catch 22.. he he

Not really- there are two pieces to the threads- the outer one with hte threads, and an inner smaller center piece that is seperated from the outer threads by some material that doesn't conduct- silicon or some type of rubber- The wires from the batter hook to the center and outer threads- one positive, the other negative. In order to make an adapter- you would need to fashion both center and outer pieces, and seperate the center fro mthe outer with rubber. It's not easy to do, but I did manage to fashion a crude center piece, but couldn't tool the outer threads, but did manage to get the loong cartridge working on a penstyle battery- but had to hold it all together manually because of the thread issue & it wasn't easy. If the center part touches the outer part, it will drain the battery and burn out hte cartridge, so you have to make sure the center of the adapter only touches the center of the cartridge and doesn't make any contact with the outer threads part.

I think probvably it's just a better deal to wait and see how the Ecig.com 'loongtotem' mini ciggs are and whther they are indeed a loongttotem and can interchange parts with the loong or not- at hte Ecig.com prices, it will be cheap enough that way- but here again we're running into the battery charge issue

e-cig.com announced that "new mini" six weeks ago.. i ordered one four weeks ago.. its quite clear the e-cig.com "new mini" i reality does not exist.. there i no record of any being shipped..

as to the reason i dont know.. but the total absence of any in the wild implies some kind of major problem.. its not just a normal waiting for supplies thing..

trog

ps.. over this time period a lot of people must have ordered the things.. not just the odd forum member..

Now I reckon what the delay problem might be. I reckon L. T. is waiting for me to send all my faulty batteries back. But my bank manager is keeping me waiting for an acceptance for a bank loan at the present. So I can ship them back to China. So they then can pass on to e-cig.com. For all you lovely people waiting on them he he.

Now if had known anybody in the UK desperately wanting to get their hands on one of these. I could have sold you mine with no guarantee and at a ridiculous price and a battery run time off roughly 15 minutes if you're lucky of course but one bonus would have been hopefully next day delivery. He he he.
